We had only been able to reserve a smoking room, and got it changed upon arrival. However, we felt the place had a slight lingering smokey small. The room was very roomy, we got two beds. A modular bath with all the technology. It overlooked a temple, where we had a peaceful stroll the next morning. Breakfast was 1100 yen.... More

Clean, but tiny room with an even tinier ensuit. Geared to the Japanese visitor. Hardly any English spoken. Close to Kobe Station. Close to walk to Harbourland for dinner. The rooms are just too small for my liking. The pillows were shocking. I would not stay again. In hindsight I would choose to stay near Shin- Osaka Station for convenience... More

It's perfect to me! It exceeds my needs which are primarily about cleanliness with private bathroom, easy transport, safety and great price. As observed during my stay, the guests were mostly, if not all, local Japanese and that's a BIG PLUS as I could soak in Japanese ambience without seeing noisy foreign tourists. The basement level connects to two stations,... More

For less than $100 a night in the center of Kobe, just walking distance from Kobe JR Station... what do you expect. Photos really were deceiving. Very tiny room, no smoking room with ash trays and air conditioning that blows smoke from someone smoking in the next room. Hallway and elevator filled with smell of cigarettes. Lobby is small but... I took single room 1) Not large enough. 2) Close to the station, which is good enough. 3) Like in all hotels prices for each day fluctuates. Saturday's price being the highest (~10000 yen). Other days ranges from 4900 to 8000 yen.

This hotel really is on top of a train station (not the main JR line but it does connect) and you wouldn't notice until you see the signs. The street is reasonably quiet and shrine across the road is beautiful. The area to the north is lovely to walk around and it's not far to the harbour area or to... More

Our second stay at a Chisun Hotel this trip. The reason we chose it was the price and location and it ticked both boxes. An easy 10 minute walk from the train station through the underground labyrinth that also leads to harbour Land. We were able to leave our bags at reception as we arrived at 9.00am and check in... Chisun Hotel Kobe is located very near to the JR Kobe Station so it's very convenient to travel around from the hotel to the nearby cities by using JR like what I did when travelling from Kobe to Kyoto. The hotel is also next to the Harbour Land, it takes around 10 minutes by walking and there are some sightseeing... More

Hotel is easily accessible from the JR Kobe station through the underground shopping arcade. Many amenities surround the hotel like a supermarket and food outlets, however, I recommend heading to Kobe Sannomiya if you're looking for something more lively. Rooms are the usual Japanese standard so no complaints here. You can't really control the room temperature though as I did... More
