Rooms are of decent size. Not so much attention to aesthetics. Rooms are not so clean. They have huge windows though and I like that. TV was not placed in a convenient location if you're lying down. You can get a good night's sleep since its a quiet area. Free wifi in the lobby area. Breakfast is good enough but... More

I stayed at the Tor Road Hotel for three nights - over a weekend. The hotel is trying to impress a 'British' theme on its guests, with The Beatles being played on a loop and expensive English tea in the restaurant. My room was on the 3rd floor and has clearly seen better days. Lots of wear and tear and... More

We stayed a night in Kobe and it was the cheapest (in price) accommodation we stayed in. We did originally book for a non-smoking room but somehow we were giving a room on a smoking floor. We got a non-smoking room however no issues after visiting reception. English speaking was generally good (better than a lot of other bigger hotels).... More

Stayed here for 1 night after an Asia cruise. Cost 1000 Yen for a taxi from the cruise terminal to the hotel, 660 Yen for a very short distance by taxi to the Sannomiya train/bus station. Hotel is conveniently located and walking distance to most of the places to visit on the city map. Our twin bed room cost 14,000... More

This was my second time to stay at Hotel Tor Road, and I was not disappointed. The staff was so great and helpful. I could ask them about anything. Especially Ms.Toriyama at the front desk gave me quick and useful information, also on mail, before my arrival. I liked the breakfast, which is both Japanese and western style. I like the atmosphere... More

Tor road hotel is very conveniently located to visit Kobe. Staff is friendly but not always speaking English. Nothing particular but very clean with reasonable sized rooms. Free internet if you have your laptop with you.

This hotel is adequate, but feels very old inside the rooms. Stayed 4 nights on a business trip in a standard single room. Arrived 9.00 pm the first night, and reception staff were polite and helpful. My room was small, furnished mainly with old worn furniture and the bed was shoved up against the wall in one corner. The room... More

The hotel is fire trap...a disaster waiting to happen. The fire escape stairs are locked (both ways) at all times. The windows in the rooms are locked (no key available). Furthermore the windows have a steel mesh within to prevent them from being smashed. To our dismay, the staircase is used as a storage facility....These staircases are supposed to be... More

I went to Kobe this time to be back to where I had lived before. Now I would be staying alone at a hotel for the first time, which I was a bit worried about. But I had no reason to be worried. The staff were very friendly, and it felt a bit ' like home' to stay there. After visiting friends... More
