Since the hotel is located by the ocean, it has a magnificent view of the Kobe port and the mosaic (Harborland). The staffs service were great and all the staff I encountered speaks good English. The hotel offers frequent free shuttle bus service to & from Sannomiya Station (Kobe's downtown and main connecting station). If you don't mind taking a... More

I am a big fan of this hotel, so I often use the hotel and hotel restaurant with my family. You can expect warm and refined services at this hotel and also delicious cuisine with a spectacular view. I like French toast and whole wheat toast with paste blended butter, honey and coconut powder at cafe restaurant for breakfast.

I've stayed here now about four times over the past year and a half and think this is now my favorite place to stay in Kansai (Western Japan). The over-all service at the front desk, concierge, greeter, bell hops, and certainly restaurants is what attracts me the most. With very few exceptions, the staff seem well-trained in hospitality and will... More

Having stayed at mostly 3 and 4 stars hotels during our Japanese trips, I had surprisingly found the Okura Kobe to be very reasonable in its asking prices and so booked for a 2 nights stay here - requesting for the Ferris Wheel view, check in at 2pm and windows that open for fresh air - true enough, all of... Located in the harbour area around 15 walk from the main stations the Hotel Okura is definitely recommended. A little old but very comfortable and large room sizes (unheard of in Japan) at very reasonable rates. Staff are extremely attentive and rooms immaculately clean. If you are staying in Kobe I would recommend this place.

Stayed one night for business in November. Overall a respectable Japanese business hotel with very professional staff and clean, but somewhat dated, interior Pros: 1. Central location with excellent views of the Bay 2. Very professional, polite, and helpful staff 3. Clean well maintained rooms with plenty of space 4. Price was reasonable Cons 1. We made the booking a month before our travel. We are greeted by the assistance manager of the concierge area upon arrival, and she arrange and gave us all the map and reservation detail in order for us to move around the city. Providing recommendation on when is the best time to visit Mount Rokko & Arima. Location of the... More

Hotel is about 15 - 20 minutes walk to the shopping area. Not that far. The bed is so so. Not that comfy. The towels are not fluffy. It is basically a clean hotel. As in most hotels in Japan, do not expect to find English channels nor CNN on the tube. I have been far cheaper hotels with better... More

Fantastic hotel. Has the same look of lobby to the one in Tokyo and it's very classy. We were quite surprised to find the hotel rate in September was amazingly affordable. Room was spacious and the fact that we could have an outdoor pool to use! Not many of the hotels in Kobe would have that, and the fact that... More
