Greeted with ladies in Kimono on arrival, we were impressed by their strength and polite manner. The first team helped us with all our luggage. The first team approached us when we entered the room, suggesting about the functions of each room, how to wear Yukata dress and esp. making us Japanese tea as a welcome drink. At dinner, the... Very well managed, established onsen hotel. We made a day trip, arriving at lunch time and bought their weekday day use coupon for 3650 yen, which entitles you to use the baths at B2 floor, and consume 2000 yen worth of food. If food cost > 2000 yen, you pay the difference. It's quite a deal. We ate at their... More

This is quite a large hotel, so not your traditional family-run, small ryokans. However the quality of service doesn't suffer because of size, while also having the benefits of a large resort hotel. There are a large number of wheelchairs available, a varied selection of restaurants and eateries onsite, some shops, spa and massage treatment rooms, a swimming pool, free... More

My wife had been long for a private onsen experience. With recommendation from local tourism board, we decided to have a try. Upon reservation at tourism board, the van pick us up within 5 minutes. We felt welcomed as the staffs were expecting our arrival. The private onsen cost ard 3850 yen per person for 90 minutes. facilities include a... More

The property is very well maintained, has no sign of aging and spotlessly clean. Service is excellent. Food is good. We have a wonderful Japanese-western room on the ground floor with a semi-private garden, two sitting areas, a room with twin beds, separate areas for bath, dressing table, coffe bar etc. Will definitely stay here if I come to Arima... Six of us arrived in this hotel from Kobe. The bus was the easiest way to get to this little town. The hotel offers the shutter bus pick us up by the bus station. It runs every 15 mins so we didn't have to call the hotel. All the large rooms were fully booked so we ended up with two... More

My first time visiting a hot spring hotel in Japan and it was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the setting for the hotel was beautiful. Stayed in a large room with a great view. Loved the onsen on the top floor. Also had a very nice dinner while there.

If you're looking for a hot spring resort day trip from either Kobe or Osaka, Arima Onsen is definitely the place you should visit. It takes only 45 min by express bus from Sannomiya, Kobe and 50 min to Umeda Bus Terminal in Osaka. I was really surprised by its transportation convenience! My mom and I spent one night staying... Our room was on the 6th floor with private onsen. The view from the onsen and the balcony was breath-taking as the autumn colors started creeping into the valley. The room was huge with traditional Japanese styling. We had our own dedicated attendant who ensured we were well-pampered. We opted to have our kaiseki dinner in our private dining room,... More
