We stayed one night in this Onsen, and had quite an experience. Keep in mind reading this review, we are from Norway, and will review the place for being international tourists. Finding Kosekaku might seem a bit difficult, but it's actually a quite straigth forward process, and doesn't take that long time from Kobe. Entering was an experience in itself,... More

Best Onsen in my view is more compact. This is large building, somewhat lacking personality. However the quality of it can be described as very good. The food was nice and well prepared. Rooms large and view out of the window relaxing.

Stayed one night there and regretted for not staying longer. Onsen was awesome, room was big and clean, food was not amazing but tasted fairly okay. Our server did not speak too much English but her smile and efforts made to make us understand could compensate that. This Onsen Ryokan situated at a beautiful and quiet area, the view from... More

Thank you very much for staying at KOSENKAKU. You seemed to enjoy your stay in our RYOKAN,and we are glad. We hope that the visitors who come here spend time slowly by enjoying a hot spring ”KINSEN"and " KAISEKI" meal. Please come again to KOSENKAKU when you visit ARIMA ONSEN. We intend to make an effort to become able to speak... More

Stayed for 3 nights, and will remember this forever. Kosenkaku is a large ryokan (probably about 60 or more rooms) located a few minutes walk outside Arima Onsen. Set well up in the hills, and off the main roads, it delivers peace and tranquility. From the initial check-in, we were treated like royalty. Even though very few foreigners go to... More

We sincerely thank you for staying at KOSENKAKU. You seemed to enjoy a 3-day stay heartily, and we are glad. Arima is near from downtown of Kobe, but it has a hot spring resort unique atmosphere. In addition, because this KOSENKAKU is a typical Japanese inn,we think that everything during the stay might become interesting for you. The dish that you ate is... More

When I go to a ryokan, I usually stay in a place with less than 30 rooms, so this one looked massive to me. However, it's got a nice garden and a few lodges in its grounds where you can stroll around in the fresh morning air (check out is 11am whilst many other ryokan's ask you to leave at... More
