I have visit Japan for several times. I and my daughter enjoy our breakfast time (I recommend to include breakfast package, kobe steak is delicious ). The staff is experienced, room is clean, anything is good. If I come kobe again, I will SURELY choose this hotel. Hsu Chih-Yao From Taiwan

Room is kind a small. But you'll get everything in the room. You can find many cute and beautiful things in this hotel, pastries, coffee, lobby with many cute little toys for kids to play. Prints of bedtime stories on every hotel room, eg. mermaid, Pinocchio, tinkle bell and etc.

Most of the reviews have covered the vast array of food that is amazingly offered at breakfast, and how this hotel has been rated the Best Hotel Breakfast for 3 years in a row. What impressed me was the orderly way guests are seated at breakfast. Most people go around between 7-8, so seatings are every half hour. Once a... More

Prices of Kobe hotel rooms are generally higher compared to those in nearby cities like Kyoto and Osaka. Hotel Piena may not be the cheapest available in the vicinity, but what attracted me was the fact that it has been crowned Champion for Best Hotel Breakfast in Japan for consecutive years. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by the food,... More

Good hotel close to subway. Bed was quite hard and uncomfortable. Furniture in room is old but functional. Only one bedside table, problematic if 2 people are sharing. Breakfast was interesting combination of western and Japanese food. Even a jug of sangria included and lots of desserts. Bathroom with high sided tub could be difficult for people with limited mobility.... More

Firstly, this small French-style hotel is a bargain by Japanese standards. The rooms are petite but stylish, hotel well located (5 min walk from the station) & it was a very comfortable stay. The best bit? Undoubtedly the breakfast. The breakfast is a standard Japanese hotel breakfast price but it puts every other breakfast to shame. Succulent steak & pretty... More

We stayed here for 12 nights while visiting our son who lives in Kobe. It is a perfect location near to Sannomiya and Shin Kobe, and for most things in Kobe (although the harbour area is some way away). Kitano which is very nice is close by. We didn't have breakfast but have been told it is very good. There... More

5mn walk from Sannomiya, a good family friendly hotel (they have rooms that can accommodate 4 family members on the top floors). The breakfast is particularly good with plenty of tasty options, which is rate for an hotel of this size (medium). Service is good and friendly but. then. we're in Japan so it can be expected, location is very... More

My wife and I stayed at the Piena Kobe in Christmas 2012. This hotel was centrally located near the Sannomiya subway station. It was reasonably priced and felt like home with nice Christmas decorations and music. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice little store where they sell really original delicious jellies and actually give... More

The Piena is about 6 blocks from the Sannomiya RR station. The immediate area has a few restaurants and "quickie" marts, and of course the station area is bustling with shops and eateries. The smaller rooms, which we had, are reasonably roomy and have a small fridge and a small table with 2 chairs. Reading in bed is made difficult... More
