This hotel is just a short walkable distance from the train station. A very large resort with large rooms. Meals are served in the room. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very little English spoken here. WI-FI are in the 1st floor and 7th floor common areas. I lucked out since my room was close to the 7th floor common... More

This is a decent onsen, conveniently located near the train station. However, It doesn't have the intimate feel of the high end onsens. I recommend that you look around for a more traditional onsen, but this one is okay if you don't have other choices. I liked the bath with the local volcanic waters. There is a nice footbath in... Family of 4 stayed here in July 2014. Had a very enjoyable stay. Service was excellent including guide to our room, tea service, in room dining and then breakfast in the public space. Staff showed a genuine interest in getting to know us. We were able to speak Japanese with them. The front desk staff seemed to have English skills... More

First time experience staying in a traditional japanese type of accomodation with sliding doors, floor mats, dining on the floor with a short table and also sleeping on mattress on the floor. They even provide us with kimono outfits too and japanese slippers. Breakfast and dinner is served in the room with a wide variety of food - dinner served... More

Arima as an onsen town is unspectacular, and this ryokan was similarly so. For ¥10,000/person per night, it is normal in most ryokan to get both breakfast and an evening meal. For reasons that remain inexplicable I was unable to order an evening meal in advance, despite being willing to pay the extra ¥2,500, simply because I was on the... More

We were given a room in the new wing of the hotel, we had to walk quite a bit from the carpark to the front desk and then the room. It was not very pleasant when especially when we were with our luggage. However, a female front desk staff member was kind enough to escort us to the room, and... More

Just one-hour bus trip away from Kobe, you arrive at Arima. The hotel is just a minute walk away from the bus terminus. The standard room is rather large (12 standard matt size) when compared to other spa hotels in Japan (8 to 10 standard matt size). My room was the one facing the main road and the Arima River....
