A great choice, though quite expensive, if you want to stay one night in the hot-spring resort of Arima Onsen : beautiful japanese style apartment, kaiseki dinner and breakfast (there is a supplement for this option) and especially the possibility to book a private bath for 45 minutes, included in the room charge. We actually choosed two different outdoor bath... More

Stayed one night in a room with both western twin bed as well as option for Japanese style bedding. A very spacious room with 2 toilets! The dinner which came with the room was of high quality, particularly the Firefly squid, tofu, Kobe beef and citrus jelly desert. The private onsen bath was excellent. The shuttle bus service to the... More

Nice private onsen. Room is outdated with very tiring decoration. For US$700 a night, it is very pricy and not really worth it from all aspects. Overall Arima is a pretty 'old' and small town, we enjoyed the onsen but can't be bother to stay at Arima for more than a night. By the way, the hotel's website mentioned that... More

It only took us an hour to get here from our friends home in Nishinomiya, but the experience was a world away from big city life. The friendly staff was very welcoming right from the start, and helped us figure out our meals and private onsen experience. The Japanese style taketoritei - mountain view room was very comfortable and peaceful,... More

Loved the private hotsprings as not every onsen offers this. It is expensive but well worth the indulgence. The shuttle service is free of charge, just call them at the tourist centre and they will come pick you up whenever you need it. There's no schedule. Take the japanese breakfast. Wonderful breakfast - very fresh and well prepared. Had to... More

This is my 2nd time to stay in Taketoritei. Everything is great as last time. The staff even call me to confirm with the meal since my partner is vegetarian. The Kaiseki dinner and kobe beef are really delicious. I especially enjoy their private hot spring room which not every hotel got this option. Definitely will stay here if get... More

Amazing customer service, good english, the dinner and breakfast were gorgeous and the private onsen was a highlight (we were in room 2, with outside garden, awesome). Arima onsen itself was a gorgeous town to explore and well worth the trip. The crackers are delicious, just needed some brie to have with them. Definitely get the hotel to pick you... More

Wish we had more time here .. it does take a bit to get here but well worth it. From the moment they pick you up at the Information center you are treated like an honored guest. Simply walk out of the Arima Onsen train station turn right and walk up the hill (it is not too bad of a... More

After traveling around central Japan me and my wife planned to have a very memorable vacation by staying in Arima Onsen instead in the metropolis Osaka before our flight back home the next day. We decided to pick this hotel because we like the size of the hotel not so big and not so small, and the price is just... More
