This ryokan is a treasure, the staff is helpful and welcoming, the meals are truly amazing in taste and appearance and they have several private onsen options (for someone bashful like myself). This was my first onsen experience and it has been my favorite because of its stunning beauty and the choice of ginsen (silver spring) or kinsen (gold spring).... More

First thing to mention, normally when I stay in ryokan in Japan, I will see the old staff who cannot communicate in English and do everything slowly but at this hotel it is not like that. Most of staff are youngster who fluent in English which make service a lot more better. The hotel located on the hill which make... More

Me and my wife visited this Ryokan property 2 yrs ago. Because we planned one Onsen night out of our 7 days Kansai trip, we selected this one with private onsen based on the reviews on TA. And we were happy that our decision is not wrong. Everything about the Ryokan is just so amazing. The food, the private onsen,... More

Both me and hubby love onsens, and we have been to quite a few of the luxurious onsen hotels around the world, but we keep coming back to Taketoritei. It's a place that not only is relaxing and luxurious, it is also non-pretentious, making you feel genuinely welcomed. Even though the hotel is definitely quite full, we hardly see anyone... More

We stayed here only for 1 night. We booked 2 rooms, so we got to try 2 of the private onsen. The is a big public bath too, with indoor golden onsen and outdoor silver onsen. Both are amazing. We also had really n good breakfast and dinner here as well. Service was superb too. Even though the price is... More

This is the second time around visiting this onsen♨️. This time around we stayed 3 days and 2 nights with friends. We booked a suite with two rooms of which one of the room came with twin bed on the 5th floor. Though the room was a bit dated, it was clean and quiet. The windows were facing towards the... More

My stay here was wonderful! Gorgeous room and hot springs, delicious food and wonderful accommodating staff. I couldn't have asked for more. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. Would highly recommend to anyone going to the Arima area!

We are frequent travelers and we consider this place one of the most accommodation we've ever stayed at. We had a tatami room, which was very big. When we came back from dinner, the staff had already made our beds. The sheets were thick and comfortable. I thought the price was expensive at first but after experiencing the foods we... More

This location is like paradise: the rooms are very clean and huge (almost an appartment), the staff is very nice, polite and attentive to every detail, and the hot springs are gorgeous. We had the room 203 with the indoor silver hot spring and this was simply amazing. We could have stayed there forever. To mention also is the fact... More
