The hotel doesn't locate near to the train station, however they could arrange a van to pick you up. The room was a little bit old but comfortable, and the view was quite nice. Family onsen and the dinner set were enjoyable. The hotel staff is generally friendly and some of them spoke english. Please get up early in your... More

We stayed here for one night and had an amazing relaxing time. We got a bus from shin-kobe and returned by train. Travelling to the Onsen by train or bus cost is almost the same for both. When we arrived we used the pay phone and called the hotel to pick us up. They arrived within 5minutes. Upon arrival you... More

We spent one night at Taketorei Maruyama for our wedding anniversary. We took the bus from Kobe (returned by train, which we preferred), and were helped at the bus stop to locate the tourist center in Arima Onsen, where they called the hotel to send a van to pick us up. We were met in the hotel lobby by a... More

Great experience! The room was very nice, roomy and the outdoor garden also add Japanese feel. They also offered us to book the private onsen room since we did the check in. The private onsen was great, very nice and well maintained (the onsen was extremely hot!!) The staffs were extremely polite and treat you very special. Recommended.

Can you imagine the room costed USD 500 per night but without any meal? neither dinner nor breakfast, it's unbelievable!! And the restaurants the hotel recommended is very pricy, too, and not friendly for the foreigners. They don't know how to serve people who doesn't speak Japanese. We spent USD 150 for 2 persons but not felt full after the... More

Before Taketoritei Maruyama in Arima Onsen, I'd stayed in onsen hotels in Hakone, Lake Toya and Kyoto which were all good. But I must say TM has been my best experience so far. Everything was excellent. From online reservation to shuttle bus pick-up upon arrival in Arima Onsen, to hotel welcome, to room, to public and private onsens, to meals... More

My wife and I had stayed one night in this hotel, it already made us very satisfied. The reason we picked this hotel is their complimentary private hot springs, there are 7 different styles of outdoor and indoor for your consideration. We had tried two of them in outdoor which have both “gold and silver soup” at night and morning,... More

Spent a night at this Onsen in Dec 2014 with my wife and two children. It was a very enjoyable stay. It was easy to get there. We took the train to the Arima Onsen station from Osaka ( stopped at Kobe to eat the delicious Kobe beef) and just as you exit the barriers, there is a coin operated... More

We struggled before booking this hotel because of its relatively higher room rate, but we both agreed that we made the right choice now. The onsen resort was designed as traditional Japanese style, and the facilities were quite new. They offered both the gold and silver hotspring type, which was only available in a very limited onsen resorts in Arima.... More
