As you walk into the renaissance style hotel the smell on stale smoke that can't be removed lingers. While the foyer is decorated well the hallways and rooms appear very out of character and run down. The sensor lights that turn on as you walk down with the dated carpet, abd scratched doors make the hotel feel cheap. The staff... More

Convenient location, easy walk to the station and street car station. Lobby is pretty and the garden is cute. Staff were very freindly and helpful. they reccommended we take a walk along the river near by, it was beautiful! Breakfast was great, the restaurant had a great view. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Wifi is only available in the lobby,... More

Good hotel overall. Disappointed that wifi is only available in the lobby/cafe - made me spend more money on afternoon tea in the cafe than i intended! Great location to the station and we were able to walk to the department stores and entertainment district. Rooms were small, but not the smallest we inhabited during our 3 week trip!

Adequate clean hotel with friendly staff. Very small rooms though, I had to move the chair so it was jammed up between the bed and window, and be careful not to step into my case when I got out of bed. Wasn't quite the smallest room I had in Japan but a very very close second!!!! Basic facilities and no... More

This was our first trip to Japan and our second hotel in country. The hotel was easy to locate and in a great location close to railway station (approx. 5 min walk). There is a 7 Eleven store near the hotel. The staff were very helpful and check in and checkout was very quick. The A/C worked very well, the... More

After a long day of exploring Hiroshima, we felt this hotel was a bit out of the way. The staff were very kind. The decor is extremely elaborate, but the rooms were western, small and lacked any character. We were meant to have a crib pre-setup in the bedroom. THe staff were reluctant to set it up, but with some... More

I was a little concerned how far the walk from the station would be with luggage as there was a bridge to cross the river but by the time you exit the underground crossing from the station you are almost there and can see the hotel awning from the traffic lights over the bridge. All our internet bookings were smooth... More

It is near to Hiroshima railway station, but not too near. I found other nice hotels very close to the station but I was worried that it might be somewhat noisy sleeping too nearly to railways. Then I selected the Grand Intelligent. I had to pass over a bridge to reach the Grand Intelligent Hotel but it was only a... More

The Grand Intelligent is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the station (you can even go through underground passage and avoid traffic), and check in was smooth. The lobby and overall style is kinda weird - all old world antiques and a wiennese vibe - and this is found in the rooms also, with the exception of the inevitable... More

The hotel is located nearby Hiroshima station by 3 minutes walking. The interior design incorporates features of European traditional art. I felt it is interesting. Neighbor building blocks the view from the my staying room window. Bed is wide and comfortable, bath room is small. Japanese and western buffet style breakfast is yummy.
