We were quite satisfied with our two night stay at the J-Hoppers Hiroshima. Immediately upon our arrival we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Check-in was painless and in less than ten minutes we were getting settled into our rooms. The rooms were typical guesthouse rooms. A little small but still nothing that was a concern. All... More

I stayed for 2 nights. Getting there was pretty simple, just follow the map that is linked on the website. You can't go wrong. It takes about 1/2 hour to get there. It's convenient if you're visiting the Peace Park, as it's a 5 mins walk away. I chose the single room, and it was a lot bigger than i... More

Well situated, nice staff, comfortable room. I stayed with my son in the single room where the staff aranged 2 futons style bed. We had a nice sleep. The shower and toilets were very clean. I didn't use the kitchen. You can walk to the peace park and the castle. The tram station next to the hostel will take you... More

The staff is very gentle and dedicated, the location is awesome, near the Hiroshima Station and a walking distance from nice restaurants (even the famous Hiroshima's Okonomyaki...try it on OkonomiyakiMayu Matoba machi 2-6-3, near Matoba tram stop). The high point is that they try to make the guests meet. So if you travel alone is willing to meet new friends... More

Regarding the bad comments on this hotel i would like to say that those people had too high of an expectation. THe hotel clearly states that bathrooms are shared, so why are they shocked? The hostel was clean, the staff friendly and extremely helpful. It is close to a tram station and we were able to take a good walk... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights. This place is quaint and homely but also has a lovely social feel to it due to spacious lounge area. We stayed in a traditional private room. Rooms were lovely although slightly aged and the thermal bed sheets that they request you leave in the room were smelly so we had to take... More

It's located within walking distance of everything in Hiroshima. Only take the tram from Hiroshima station following the very clear directions on the J-hoppers website, and walk the rest of your time there. Helpful, friendly staff. They clean throughly during the day. Dorm sizes and beds are what you'd expect from a hostel. I'd stay again and recommend to anyone... More

And most important that the hostel is in the city center. Couple of restaurant, cafe near this area. Atomic peace park can be reached by walk - arround 10-15... More

One of my all-time favourite hostels. I've stayed here twice, two years apart, and both times the amazing staff have immediately become good friends. The rooms are lovely, with dorms formed of traditional tatami mats and bamboo hanging dividers. Very good information (and music) at reception area. The kitchen & lounge are a little narrow for large numbers to hang... More

This backpackers had one of the nicest rooms out of all the backpackers that we stayed in throughout our trip to japan. It was actually very similar to the $150 ryokan room that we stayed in Kyoto- so we were very impressed. everything was clean, there was free wifi, the futon was comfortable and they had a kettle in the...
