We travelled down to Hiroshima at the midpoint of our time I Japan. We actually decided to extend our stay at J-Hoppers and Hiroshima in general, as we discovered that there is much more to the place then foreigners might first expect. The hostel itself was very clean and tidy. The staff are super friendly and efficient, and can give... More

The hostel itself is very well located. Easy walking distance to all the touristy stuff. We had a triple room and it was small. Compared to our other hostels in Japan this was the smallest but it worked. The facilities were very clean. The staff were also very friendly.

We were quite satisfied with our two night stay at the J-Hoppers Hiroshima. Immediately upon our arrival we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Check-in was painless and in less than ten minutes we were getting settled into our rooms. The rooms were typical guesthouse rooms. A little small but still nothing that was a concern. All... More

I stayed for 2 nights. Getting there was pretty simple, just follow the map that is linked on the website. You can't go wrong. It takes about 1/2 hour to get there. It's convenient if you're visiting the Peace Park, as it's a 5 mins walk away. I chose the single room, and it was a lot bigger than i... More

Well situated, nice staff, comfortable room. I stayed with my son in the single room where the staff aranged 2 futons style bed. We had a nice sleep. The shower and toilets were very clean. I didn't use the kitchen. You can walk to the peace park and the castle. The tram station next to the hostel will take you... More

The staff is very gentle and dedicated, the location is awesome, near the Hiroshima Station and a walking distance from nice restaurants (even the famous Hiroshima's Okonomyaki...try it on OkonomiyakiMayu Matoba machi 2-6-3, near Matoba tram stop). The high point is that they try to make the guests meet. So if you travel alone is willing to meet new friends... More

Regarding the bad comments on this hotel i would like to say that those people had too high of an expectation. THe hotel clearly states that bathrooms are shared, so why are they shocked? The hostel was clean, the staff friendly and extremely helpful. It is close to a tram station and we were able to take a good walk... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights. This place is quaint and homely but also has a lovely social feel to it due to spacious lounge area. We stayed in a traditional private room. Rooms were lovely although slightly aged and the thermal bed sheets that they request you leave in the room were smelly so we had to take... More

It's located within walking distance of everything in Hiroshima. Only take the tram from Hiroshima station following the very clear directions on the J-hoppers website, and walk the rest of your time there. Helpful, friendly staff. They clean throughly during the day. Dorm sizes and beds are what you'd expect from a hostel. I'd stay again and recommend to anyone... More

Like few of hostel that i've stayed in Japan, basically they hv the essentials : wifi, heater/air con, kitchen - lounge, hair dryer in bathroom, clean bed & toilet (also bathroom). And most important that the hostel is in the city center. Couple of restaurant, cafe near this area. Atomic peace park can be reached by walk - arround 10-15... More
