Great location, friendly staff, nice room too. You can ask the staff for any food suggestion around, she told me a nice okonomiyaki house, Hiroshima specialty not the best one but it's good. Great value for money and you can rent bicycle too if you want.

I was the worst possible guest. I came late, lost my key and didn't have my passport at check in. J-Hoppers were very accommodating on all fronts! Great friendly staff and a good location. Nice rooms and good showers, great value for money.

Great location, easy access to trams, loads of local eateries. Only 5 mins walk to the A-Bomb Dome and Memorial Park. Plenty of tourist info including a map they had prepared which showed recommended local restaurants and the type of food they sold. Showers were clean, tidy and well maintained but were on 5 second timers that you had to... More

I found this hostel great value for money. The location was fine, within walking distance of the atomic dome. I liked the staff, and the place was well ordered. The room was small, but not ludicrously so, and the shared bathroom facilities were fine. They have a roof terrace available, and a front porch, where you can sit and have... More

We spent 3 nights in J-hoppers while visiting the fantastic city of Hiroshima. After spending a lot of our time in dorms in other hostels we spent a little extra here to get a double private room. Our room was on the 4th floor, a Japanese style Tatami room. So essentially a Futon on the floor. It was a reasonable... More

I was very pleased with this hostel. As an independent traveller, I felt safe and comfortable here. The staff were also very helpful with directing me to places I should see and foods I should eat. Speaking of foods, there is a small restaurant down the street from the hostel that makes Hiroshima's famous savory noodle pancake called Okonomiyaki. Do... More

This accommodation came highly recommended by friends of ours and although we were quite satisfied there are improvements that could be made. The staff were excellent - top top notch from the reservation process through to arriving late for check-in and leaving early. The price was excellent for both the double and triple rooms. The building itself is just a... More

Clean place but not worth the cost. My husband and I booked a private room for $50 plus parking $8. We still shared a bathroom. It was a tiny box with only enough room for the fold out Japanese style futons and a little lamp. It was across from the communal bathroom area and the walls are so thin we... More

Convenient location, staffs are sweet and friendly. Entire facility is kept very clean. Great place for anyone who is looking for a low cost / high value accommodation. It even had a vending machine with Japanese beer ;-)

Stayed two nights with our two kids (6 and 8) and we're very pleased with the atmosphere, staff, location. Kitchen downstairs was so well equipped, very impressive! Our room was clean and quiet. Bathrooms shared but never any queues or questionable standards of cleanliness. All very very good and fantastic value for what we paid! Thanks!!!
