We stayed at this inner-city ryokan as it was recommended by Lonely Planet. Although simple, it is perhaps the cleanest hotel room and bathroom we have ever had the pleasure of utilising. The ryokan is situated very close to the Dobashi Street Car and within easy walking distance of the Peace Memorial, A-bomb Dome and associated sights. There is a... More

This is a nice place to stay. Rooms are a decent size with good en suite. They come with futons (no western beds), air conditioning and mini fridge. Wifi is very poor!!! This needs major improvements. It's really only usable in the lobby. This ryokan is very popular with large groups of Australian school tours. Location is great with everything... More

This hotel was a great experience at all. Sleeping on a futon on a tatami floor is very funny and comfortable. The whole structure was very clean, and the personnel really kind and polite. Unfortunately, there's no free Wi-Fi in the rooms (but only Ethernet cabled network access).

Not a bad place to stay, we had one night only. It would have been a bit of a nightmare to find had we not got a taxi from the station. Its in a bit of a residential area, but it was quiet on a night. Bed was a roll away mattress only and it was very uncomfortable sleeping on... More

yes this place is basic, rooms are on the smaller side. but it is clean, very clean. friendly staff, speaking fair amount of English. the keeper let us book in early to drop our bags, nice. the location is a strong point, about 8 mins walk from the peace park, nice. the ryokan is also easy to find if you... I arrived on a Saturday evening about 19:00 Hrs & I spent 3 nights at this hotel in July 2014, the room I stayed in was perfect & had en suite bathroom & the western breakfast was Ok but nothing to write home about. My main gripe about this hotel is the elderly Japanese couple who were manning the reception... More

Bit awkward getting checked in but the room quite spacious and fittings were fine. Key point for me was that the location is convenient for walking to the peace park. Only stayed one night but it was fine for that. Breakfast was really plentiful.

Very small and basic rooms, a bit of a cold feeling about the place. On the other hand, reception has a great lounge with big TV and best of all a massage chair. A lot more comfortable than the room. The Ryokan is in a great location, 5 minutes walk from the peace park and one minute walk from Dobashi... More

Great location just by the peace park (though a cab ride/longish tram from the main station). Rooms are basic and clean but in need of some attention - like the paintwork, curtains etc. A bit noisy at night. Breakfast nothing special. Basically it's OK and great value for money. I'd stay there again, but it's nothing special.
