This place has quite a good location just a 5 minute walk from the a bimb dome and tourist information. Great shopping right on your doorstep and close to the Hiroshima tourist bus stop. The place itself is very small wigh rooms on 2 levels and quite steep stairs so if thats no good, ask for a ground floor room.... More

Pros: Great location near the Peace Park and museum Friendly owners Very clean Size of room was good Cons: Zero charm (I hope there are other ryokan that have more charm than this, unless you are a fan of dark plywood. Fairly expensive for what I got When I opened my window all I saw was raw plywood Large shared... More

Right in city centre is this small family run ryokan (don't let the looks of the outside put you off). For a family of four (two teenagers) perfect for exploring the city. The place is located so central, you can almost 'crawl' to sights, shops and restaurants. Peace memorial park and pier for the boat to Myajima island just around... More

We stayed four nights at this Ryokan and it was a highlight of our trip to Japan. The owners (or managers) were extremely welcoming, and even carried one large suitcase upstairs for us on arrival. The room was huge and easily accommodated four sleeping with plenty of room for luggage. You should be aware this ryokan has shared toilets and... More

This was such a great stay in Hiroshima. We have two young children and they loved it too. The location is central to just about everything. And the owner is so sweet and helpful. She even helped us with our bags and children. We can't say enough about our stay here. It isn't a five star hotel, but it is... More

Chizuru ryokan is a cosy, sweet, old style ryokan right in the middle of Hiroshima. It is tricky to spot from the street in the lack of any directing signs, but you find it you can't miss it. The staff speaks a little English, but compensates in a great attitude and a good will. The room is nice and includes... More

In Japan, it is a real challenge to get accommodation for 6 people as you usually have to have several separate rooms. When we arranged for 6 people we were given the upstairs floor to ourselves which had two rooms (one very large and one much smaller) at no additional cost. We all used the first room for sleeping as... More

For this type of stay it was a great experience. Nice staff and walking distance to city and Hiroshima peace memorial museum and park. The room and the other facilities were spotless. One thing though... It smelled a bit weird in the actual room. Something like the seaweed paper you rap around a maki roll. But we are not so... More

This ryokan is a good simple place to stay in Hiroshima. It is well located around 15 minutes from the peace park and 5 minutes from the tram stop for easy access to the station. The rooms are warm and simple but comfortable. bathrooms and corridors are however significantly cooler but clean. It is easy walk distance to a the... More

This Ryokan had a perfect location. We had a little bit of trouble finding it at first however, we finally arrived there. Unfortunately the stairs to the upstairs were very small and narrow so it will be difficult to climb up with big or excessive luggage. The only complaint would be the steep stairs and the toilets were a little... More
