As mentioned by another poster, the hotel was within walking distance from the Hiroshima train station. Just find the south gate exit and head towards the Fukuya department store / Amusement & Dining building (you'll see the Pachinko sign). The hotel actually faces the river, which is behind the Amusement & Dining building. Check-in was pretty easy. They gave me... More

We spent only 2 nights in Hiroshima as a stop over to Nagasaki. We had a twin room which was just spacious enough for us and our luggage. Beds ok, reception area on small side. Staff friendly. We ate out for breakfast as not much on offer re western meals. Hiroshima rail station within walking distance.

The APA Hiroshima Ekimae Hotel in is located only a hop, skip and jump away from Hiroshima station and faces one of the streams of the river Ota. It is a great base for exploring Hiroshima, being easy walking distance to the castle and Peace Park. It is also close to the transport hub for those preferring to tram or... More

I spent one night here before a Hiroshima day tour, which meeting point was a pleasent walk from there. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the view is nice from the room, the bed is comfortable , the room is smaller than a stateroom on a cruiseship. You can find more information about this area on my blog. Any... More

I stayed here for only one night, but I've had the best experience ever! 1. The hotel is located very close to the Hiroshima Station. By the next block there is 7-11 (which is also a Willer bus terminal that I used to get to Hiroshima), accross the street is Lawson, post office, and a coffee shop. 2. Beds are... More

This hotel is well-located about 5 minutes from Hiroshima Station. Our room was tastefully furnished in navy and white, with yukata and little origami cranes placed on the bed covers, and had a large window overlooking an attractive tree-lined river, bridge and city buildings. The minute but well-designed bathroom showed masterly economy of space. The reception staff were welcoming and... More

The hotel is a short walk from the Hiroshima Station. If you arrive by train, take the exit at the South Entrance. When you exit the station, turn right and walk towards the Post Office. Cross the main road using the pedestrian crossing near the Post Office and you will be on the side where Fukuya Department Store is. Walk... More

This hotel's greatest advantage is it's proximity to the JR station - only 3 minutes walk. The room was OK, maybe a little bit small, very clean. The breakfast in the hotel is Japanese - the only western things you will find are coffee and scrambled eggs. It was our anchor for travelling to Miyajima, and we couldn't have made... More

Overall the room was quite good, although not very large. We had to squeeze past the beds to acces the bathroom.. But the beds where good and soft, the default pillows where hard as a rock but after asking for a softer one they where promptly deliverd. The negative part of the hotel for us where the windows not sealing... More
