Stayed for 3 nights last week in a big group, arranged by tour agency from home country. Hotel is 4 stars rating, situated about mid way between JR Sapporo Station and Odori Station/Park. It is about 10 mins walk to Odori Park, and another 10 mins to Tanuki Koji Shopping Arcade. Free WiFi in room and lobby but not in... More

On arrival only one night of our booking through Asiarooms had been received. Not a problem, staff were very helpful (I had a printout of the booking). we were upgraded to a fabulous family room in the east wing. Our girls loved the cute fold out beds and the room was more like a suite and very spacious. Great location... More

We stayed for six nights during the Snow Festival. The lobby area was quite nice but the room we had on the comfort floor was very small. The room was barely large enough to fit our bed and in fact was pushed up against the wall on one side which made it difficult to get in and out of. The... More

We had an exceptional experience at the Sapporo Grand Hotel, despite a slight speed bump at the start. The room we were given at check-in differed from the description at Booking.com, which I had used to secure out reservation. However, a single polite request at the front desk, and we were given the very room we had reserved. I regret... More

My last night of a four night stay 2/10-2/14. Price is fairly high, but that is probably due to the snow festival.Room was booked with access to their Grand in grand lounge. Breakfast is not included, which is strange because most executive lounges include breakfast in their rates. I visited it three times and I was the only one there... More

We found the room to be really cold, probably due to the weak central heating. Other hotels had temperature control but this hotel did not. So, it was freezing in the room too. Our room faced the old government building and street so it was pretty nice. We had breakfast in the hotel and we liked the Japanese food.

Having stayed in two different hotels in Sapporo, I can say this one has the perk of a Starbucks and access to the underground tunnel system to get around in the frigid cold. However, the dining options for Westerners is limited...despite the hotel promoting a Western breakfast buffet. Not many staff spoke English so communication was an issue. Our room... More

Again, price is the key I checked tripadvisor regularly and I grabbed the room at about 400 SGD for 2 nights during the snow festival week. Great value It's at Exit 8 of the Sapporo Ekimae Dori. This is a great advantage to move seemlessly from JR to Odori Park away from the harsh winter The exterior is grand. The... More

I had a good experience with this hotel. Although when I arrived I heard guests complaining that the rooms are small, I thought for Japanese standards they are quite decent. The staff is friendly and the location is ideal for city sight-seeing

Sapporo hotel options are pretty limited. Tokoy, Kyoto, Osaka, even Nagoya have some pretty soild hotels. For some reason, Sapporo hotel options are pretty weak, with better options being the large chains. From that perspective, the grand hotel is fine. I'm giving it three stars because I stayed at the "grand in grand" executive lounge. Starting with the Pros: -... More
