Directions to get to the hotel is easily available on the web. A map is included on the hotel website but it will be even better if directions in English can also be included, e.g. exit from the North gate at Sapporo JR station, cross the traffic junction to where the convenience store is located and walk down on the... more

Good, straightforward, comfortable, business-style hotel (although I can't comment on business facilities) in an excellent central location. Very friendly and attentive staff. A good option if you can get a competitive rate. more

Nice building with big pretty lobby (ugly chandelier though) with a swift service, this hotel is really convenient and comfortable to come home to after a day of exploring Sapporo. Japanese-standard cleanliness (almost obsessive) and room size (tiny) but so value for money, we wondered how they profit. They have coin laundry (¥100/wash, ¥100/30min dryer) and normal priced vending machine... more

The hotel is on the northern side of Sapporo Station, while all the shopping and restaurants are on the southern side of the Sapporo Station. You must first exit the Sapporo Station and go in the direction of the North exit. Right on the station's door step, is a traffic light and at the next traffic light, you will see... more

I read here first about the Sapporo Aspen Hotel and booked for Sapporo visit near Easter. I was basically just looking for a place to stay with a roof. Upon arrival we were very positively surprised: 1. This place really looks like a high class hotel, with a large lobby 2. The rooms are spotless clean and much larger then... more

I read from tripadvisor and booked Sapporo Aspen Hotel for my recent trip to Sapporo. Indeed this hotel is just a 3 mins walk to the JR station. Very good choice if you are planning to go the New Chitose Airport on your own. Just wheel your luggage there. Not sure if becos its currently the non peak season for... more

We stayed here for 6 nights in December 2008. What an excellent hotel. Clean, no-frills but excellent all round. Service was good. We found the coin operated washer and dryer useful as it saved us the trouble of hand-washing our clothes. Costs just 100 yen to wash and 100 yen to dry (per 30 minutes). The internet connection was reliable... more

We stayed here for one night before heading to Niseko for skiing/snowboarding. It was inexpensive and my boyfriend feared it would be terrible, but in fact it was similar to our experiences at business hotels in Tokyo -- for a third of the price, and with free Internet! The rooms are compact, not fancy, but perfectly fine. Typical of a... more

We booked two triple rooms at the Sapporo Aspen hotel for our party of 2 adults and 4 teenages for 6nights. On the hotel website, it did mention that they will provide bigger twin rooms and add an additional rowaway bed for triple use but when we checked in, the clerk said that it was the normal sized twin rooms... more
