The Hotel Okura Sapporo is a mid-size hotel in a great location one block away from Odori Park (Block 3 of 13 blocks) towards the Sapporo TV Tower end of the park. It is also across the street from the Odori subway station exit no. 3. Sapporo station is a 10 minute walk away or you can go by subway... More

The location of the hotel is very closed to several attractive of the city but a bit far from railway station. It was not an issue for us since we rent a car. I am satisfied with the size of the room, service quality and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The only problem is no hotel private parking, but... More

This hotel is very representative of old-school Japanese charm. Staff were very well-mannered & anticipative of your next move, and always on hand to assist, even if, as previous reviewers have said, their language ability might not be top-notch. The occasional spelling mistakes on their publications just added more to the charm. Rooms were big & nicely appointed, even if... More

We found our stay extremely uncomfortable as there is no air conditioning in our room but central heating only. We cannot even open the room window. There is absolutely no air circulation which is extremely hazardous to our health. We feel dizzy and sick the following morning. In the future, we hope that you can provide air purifier in the... The lady who managed our checkout was the rudest hotel staff I have ever met. I thought it was maybe her poor command of English but as we continue to speak to her, it was obvious it was not her langauge but her bad attitude. She showed it through her tone and even body language... almost showing displeasure at our... More

Stayed for 2 nights as part of Sapporo's snow festival tour. Very centrally located in the middle of the exhibition. Only 1 block away. Hotel is older but well managed. Service is very good. Rooms are larger and although not the latest equipment but larger sized is great.

What a treat to stay in this "oldish" but still very clean and well run Hotel. Location is the best and the rooms are a great size, Breakfast was great with a great selection of food and service. It was snowing every day during our visit, the Hotel became our warm safe haven after the adventures outside in the cold... More

The hotel is certainly not a new hotel and might not be the best but it is very clean, well maintain, and most importantly: location, location, location. The room is spacious by Japanese standard, we used extra bed as we are 3 adults, and room still ok. Service was excellent. We tried both Japanese and Western buffet and both were... More

There are 3 things i really like about this hotel is the comfortable spacious room, location and excellent service. I was really surprised by the size of the room after hearing many comments about how small japanese accommodation is. It was extremely comfortable and had a spacious bathroom. The hotel also paid attention to details by providing all the toiletries... More

The outstanding benefit of staying at The Okura Sapporo is the location. It's right next to Odori Park, it's in between Susukino entertainment district and the JR Railway Station (and JR Tower with it's various shopping centres including ESTA and Stellar Place), the entrance to the Odori Subway station is just across the road and best of all the airport...
