This hotel was probably once a nice place but, it has seen better days. Hotel Emisia needs to be updated and the family rooms need new furniture. I have never stayed in a hotel that the chairs looked like they came from a thrift store. Its out of town requiring you to get on a subway or take a cab... More

After reading the reviews of the hotel being old and shabby, I was pleasantly surprised to find no sign of shabbiness. The rooms were very spacious for Japan and the bathroom was just right with enough space for our own toiletries (2 ladies), water pressure was fine, no signs of mold and no unpleasant smells. Very clean room and bathroom,... More

Located on the outskirts of Sapporo the hotel is not particularly convenient for tourists looking for things to do on your doorstep. The lobby is dated and rooms are very simple. But, the rooms were spotless and comfortable and a reasonable size.

Since Japan is known for hotels with very small rooms, this was surprisingly big. The one incident I had was with the cleaning lady. I was in the room and she knocked on the door. I think she was asking when I will vacate the room but since she did not speak english and I did not speak japanese, it... More

We have stayed at this hotel, when it was the Sheraton, on two previous occaisons. This is a very comfortable family hotel. The staff have always been helpul. Although not in the center of Sapporo, it is very convienently located next to the Shin-Sapporo station. One great feature for those traveling with children - this hotel has a coin-op laundry.

So far my experiences at Hotels in Hokkaido were not always positive, but this venue (formerly Sheraton Hotel) was not too bad. Rooms are clean and spacious, while some refurbishment would not be too bad. Not a place for vacation, but for business it's fine. Bed is confortable and breakfast is fine (I liked the pancakes with whipped cream), but... More

The rooms are pretty worn out and requires complete overhaul. The location is not central except that the metro train station is at the distance of 3 mins. So one can catch metro to reach the Sapporo main station which is the hub of all the activities including restaurants. The biggest let down was no gym, no swimming pool at... More

The hotel was nice over all on first glance. But at a second glance you can tell the hotel is rather dated and in need of major updates. The location was excellent literally 3 minute walk from the Shin-Sapporo station, you can actually see the hotel from the train station. Also as of Oct 1, 2014 the name of the... More

I stayed at the hotel to attend a conference in the hotel. So basically, I stayed in the hotel the most of the time, and was not disappointed. Would not be my choice for vacation, but I still do not have much complaints. Actually, I remember one thing: Maybe it was because a lot of conference attendees arrived at the... More

My wife and I arrived in Sapporo around mid-day, the check-in time at the Sheraton Sapporo Hotel is 3:00 pm, we asked if we could have a room number so we could have lunch at the hotel restaurant and charge the meal to the room, however this was not possible as check in was 3:00 pm. Eventually we got them... More
