Had a chance to stay at the hotel for 3 nights. The first thing you notice is the beautiful decor, expansive lobby and clean facilities. The checkin is fine and english is a bit of an issue, but they do try and it is without a hitch. As far as the rooms, It was better than expected. The bed was... More

A very modern and nice hotel, suitable for business and personal visits. English skills of the staff in general are limited, but they do every thing to accommodate your needs. Noise level is less on upper floor rooms (hotel has 37 floors). Please be sure that the windows are shut in your room, otherwise it will be very noisy at... More

We stayed in Hangzhou for 4 nights. Even though the English skills were limited, the staff did everything possible to make our stay a pleasant one. The hotel is beautiful, and right near a lovely path along the river. We were too busy to get to the pool or fitness center, but others told us these were great as well.... More

A very nice hotel located centrally in the city, with a staff of very accommodating attitude. Clean rooms and common places. Very good facilities, including conference rooms. Friendly, nice service. Every one is trying tio be helpful and to please. A/C controls are lacking with english instruction and/or standard symbols to help to appropriately adjust the temperature settings. You my... More

I stayed just one night while visiting friends in Hangzhou. They booked the hotel for us. Normally I stayed in hostels. The reception staff spoke good English. There was breakfast on the 34th floor - mainly Chinese food and some bakery goods. Our room was clean with a very nice bathroom. I didn't have time to check out any other... More

Enjoyed the hotel. Rotating restaurant was nice but the breakfast menu was lacking. Hotel was the oldest looking of all the hotels we stayed at in China. Beds were not the most comfortable. Free WiFi is available in the bar in the lobby but it is only available when there is someone tending the bar. It is turned off in... More

It is a new hotel in a new development area (with the surrounding area still under construction), so the facilities are new. The rooms are spacious, the neighbourhood is quite but safe. The only complaint is that the area is just a bit remote to see much activity.

Fine hotel with every facitity on site. the inexpensive taxis and buses mean it is easy and cheap to get downtown. The location with views over the the canal and river is spectacular from the 34th floor restaurant. Even in the modern district some interesting hutong type areas remain within a 10 minute walk.

I stayed at Tianyuan Tower with my husband, who was attending a conference at this hotel. We stayed a total of eight nights so we experienced many of the hotel's amenities. The location is not ideal if you want to do sightseeing, as it is away from the West Lake area. So do not stay here if you intend to... More

I am currently writing this FROM the Tianyuan Tower where I am staying for a conference. On the positive side, my room is lovely, the food is good and the lounge attractive, on the negative: 1. The site I booked through said the total price would be RMB 1992, on check in the charged my Visa RMB3000 (£100 more!) I... More
