Location of hotel is more a reasidential area, around 20 minutes by car to Westlake and 10 minutes to downtown area like Yan'an road and Wulin Road. Hotel looks grand from the outside but once you enter, it is your typical local hotel. Room is reasonably clean but definitely showing wear and tear, design is kind of dated as well... More

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. This hotel is roughly 20-min drive from the famous West Lake and is located on a main road where local shops / fast food & restaurants are opened till ~10pm at night, so it's safe to wander around the nearby brightly-lit streets in the evening.

There's really nothing "international" about the Braim International Hotel. If you are looking for a cheap, decent place to sleep, then this will fit your needs. Just don't expect any service. The rooms are OK, the bed is hard. The room is just superficially clean. The breakfast buffet is a buffet in the sense that there are a number of... More

This hotel reflects all the typical problems Chinese hotels have. First of all, the mattress is so hard that you cannot sleep well. Second, even though all the facilities are updated, the attention to details is never good enough for you to feel the quality required for a 4 star hotel. Third, the staff are like the "comrade" employees, lack... More

If you're not Chinese, you're gonna feel a little alien staying here. I've stayed here three times, a month each time. And I still feel very conspicuous. I only stay here because it's close to where I work - (otherwise I'd be across town in the Shangri-La). So far as I know there are three Briam Hotels in Hangzhou, so... More

We stayed on the 14th and the 19th floor and we found it excellent! The prices are cheap compared to EU and USA, everything was clean, they gave free water, tea, coffee every day, also changed the towels, toothbrush, etc.. At the breakfast you can choose from a lot, they have both Chinese and European foods. The staff speaks English,... More

As noted by previous reviewers, beds rival cement blocks for comfort. Rooms are small but not claustrophobic - not well insulated from street and hotel noise - bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Lighting is dim - reading in bed is a challenge, a bright desk lamp is provided, along with internet connections. Air conditioning is weak... More

We arrived in the evening and the location seems very peaceful. However, when we checked out in the morning, the place was jammed with traffic. Hotel's service was very good. No complain on the buffet breakfast. Advise to fellow travelers, try to avoid morning rush hour in Hangzhou.

Stayed there as part of a group tour from Hong Kong. As a Shanghai born Australian and previous visitor of Hangzhou, I am perhaps more tolerant of the amenities and perculiarities, so to speak. We stayed on the 11th floor. The rooms are number even on one side and odd on the other (i.e. like a street). The hotel had... More

Checked in to a room with room temperature of 35 degree C. Called the reception and was transferred to the house keeping supervisor, I was told to open the window. Tried to open the window, but the temperature stayed at 35c, called the Housekeeping again but the answer was they are cleaning out the air-conditioning system because it is close... More
