Excellent historical hotel located in a beautiful garden directly on the lake and at walking distance of the Ginghefang pedestrian street. Helpful staff some speaking a decent English. The Wi-Fi in the room (only after asking, but free) and in the lobby was very good. The included BF is very high quality, with new assortments every day (I stay 5... More

My husband and I just returned from China and stayed at Dahua Hotel on 3/27. We highly recommend this place. Here is an overview of our thoughts... LOCATION: The location is PERFECTION! This hotel is one of the few hotels situated AT the lake. From a bench outside of the hotel you can see the lake and watch the hustle... More

Good hotel, if a bit oriented to local tourists. Rooms were well fitted out well. Breakfast was a bit weird as was in massive hall with large table obviously catering to Chinese guests. Breakfast also did not have much western fare. The bar is good place and the staff attentive. Concierge was great and stayed with us in the business... More

This was a very nice hotel in an excellent location, backing on to the West Lake. The room was in an annexe to the reception building, but it was a lovely room, very nicely furnished and very spacious. The lack of Wifi in the room was a nuisance, but there was free wifi in the lobby area. There are a... More

This hotel is pleasantly located right next to West Lake, allowing us to stroll around with ease. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed on 4th floor so were not disturbed by any noise or mosquitoes. Staff at the conciege was helpful and very nice to spend ~20 mins to tell us what's best to do to explore West Lake... More

This hotel is on the waters edge of the West Lake with views across to the hills opposite as well as the city skyline. You can step out of the hotel and go for long walks along the lakeside paths and stop off at the pagoda and parklands. If the weather, mist and unfortunate city pollution cooperate the views are... DaHua is a very convenient lakeside hotel for visiting the famous and beautiful West Lake in Hangzhou. The room is reasonably spacious with Chinese style decoration. In general clean but the carpet has some stains. The staff are rather nice and helpful. However, like many other hotels in China, the rooms usually have a bit cigarette smell (even you requested... What a dissapointment! Staff speaks virtually no English and were not service oriented whatsoever. Room condition was poor. Terrible smell in the room and carpet and furniture were very dirty. No TV channels in English, good thing I was not there for TV anyway. For some strange reason they decided that condoms were a necessary nightstand item? This is a... More

Dahua Hotel has since year 2000 been my favourite hotel in China. After a long day of business meetings in Hangzhou I feel like coming home. The staff take good care of their guests, and for some reason they have always given me the same room, "my room", in the second floor facing West Lake. No traffic to be heard,... More

We just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We loved it. The location is superb, being right by the lake, not even across the street from the lake, as with Hyatt. We had a family room, like a junior suite. Our room although has a traditional Chinese decor, it is actually quite modern. The bathroom was spacious,... More
