If you want to get a feel for how West Lake in Hangzhou might have felt on an early spring morning, you must stay at this hotel. It is located on a uniquely beautiful part of the lake away from the bustle of the city (which makes better known hotels like the Hyatt just another tourist hotel) in beautiful environs.... More

The hotel is an expensive option in China. Although its price range, when we checked in on 2pm and rush to the restaurant for lunch, the waitress just rush us for last order and force us to pay when we not finished the meal. At the point, the luxury hotel just behave the same everywhere in China. The price won't... More

Location, style and service make it worth it ! A very charming, if a bit old hotel. Fantastic location : directly on the lake's shore, in a park, far from the busy, crowded streets Servicable staff, very helpful, though only one or two will speak English. Chinese-style hotel, quite nice. Rooms might be a bit old though. Noise can be... More

This is place is an experience. Very unique, ancient, peaceful and private. Definitely I will stay again. Location is perfect and very convenient. You can walk around safe and enjoy nature as well. The hotel is different, this is a very Chinese culture place and makes a big difference.

It is a rare beautiful and quite place in Hangzhou. Hangzhou is normal quite crowded with tourism. But this is a place with limited control of people. The prices here are expensive, food, drinks and rooms. But it worth, as you could see beautiful views. And enjoin quite and less crowded experience. I have been in Hangzhou for dozens of... More

Beautiful location with beautiful lake view room. I spent three days in the hotel without going out. That's after all the west lake experience that I came for - quiet and reflective. Beautiful garden that takes in the lake side that no one apart from hotel guest can access to. Food is also nice in the restaurants. Room is great... More

The property the hotel is located on is one of the best in the area. The grounds are beautiful. The staff at the hotel was very nice. The rooms in the hotel are not great. Many of them smell like cigarette smoke and they are in need of an upgrade. In addition, there was a large family staying in the... More

A fantastic hide-away in the middle of Hangzhou. A great collection of villas designed in elegant Chinese architecture along the over 1,000 years old lake with many legends, including the romance of the White Snake and the Pagoda. Rooms are great, and service is perfect. A campus for a nice walk, quiet zen-gardens, a great teahouse with life Guzeng Music.... More

This is a residential turn into hotel. Te experience is staying in a Bungalow's room. The rate is relatively expensive compare to many 5 Star hotels in Hangzhou as the room is small and with basic furnishing only. But the location of this hotel is excellent. It's just next to West Lake and walking distance to other main attractions. The... More
