Very nice hotel and very convenient to West Lake (four blocks away). Very clean large room with king size bed. Bathroom also very nice with shower and tub. Complimentary water, tea, coffee and fruit in room. Staff was helpful, friendly and had English speaking staff. One free buffet breakfast each day was included in the price. Can rent bikes. I found this hotel to be a bit tired. Not dirty, but not clean if you know what I'm saying. Heating and A/C system wasn't working very well on a cold january day. Bed was rock hard. TV was really small and old. Rooms did what they had to do to meet the "4 star" criteria, but I agree.. they... more

Scouring the net for some hotel recommendations in Hangzhou, Ctrip.com and Lonely planet seems to favour this hotel. So I decided to follow the advice and book the RMB518 per night deluxe room (just to be safe instead of the standard or superior rooms).
