After 2 1/2 weeks in Beijing, my family of four escaped to the lovely Hangzhou JW Marriott. As a Rewards Gold member, we were upgraded to an executive level room, with access to the lounge. The Executive Lounge was phenomenal, with some of the best employees I've ever experienced. The whole hotel was a killer experience.

As all Marriot hotels it has a quite high standard. I tried both restaurants in the Hotel. The Chineese asian was quite ok to reasonable prices (for China). The western style Steakhouse had a totally different price level. from 300-1200 RNB for a steak. But the steak quality was worth the high price. The location of the hotel is quite... More

I had a corner room, which is slightly larger than regular rooms. Room was great, large, good lighting, walk in closet, nice big bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, good water pressure. It was also brilliant clean, much better than the standard. Internet is free and bandwidth was good (most of the times). Concierge staff is very helpful, and went... More

First time to stay in this JW Marriott. The location of this hotel is a little bit away from West Lake (I normally stayed next to the lake). However, the facilities are good and staff in the executive lunge were extremely friendly and helpful. Valeria, a trainee, was very helpful. Since the weather was not good during our visit, she... Located convieniently close to Westlake, the night markets and the old silk markets the JW Marriott is the place to stay. Staff are friendly and are attentive to your needs from check in to departure. As a business traveller taking advantage of the Executive Lounge I wanted for nothing as was able to relax and debrief and plan for the... More

Great Hotel if you are looking for Western style pampering. The people in the business center are great....needed to send a number of packages by SF Freight, they completely took care of it. About a 2 kilometer walk to lake in a straight line.

If you go to Hangzhou as a tourist you might be a little disappointed as there's nothing typical of Hangzhou in that hotel. However, as a business traveller, you will be extremely pleased by the comfort of the room, the quality of the breakfast whether at the lounge or at he restaurant located at first floor, and the friendliness of... Stayed 2 nights on business and was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service throughout the hotel, from the Asia Bistro to the function room staff to the executive lounge. (A China-based colleague noted that this was the best hotel service he's experienced in China in years.) Of particular note was the exceedingly attentive and helpful staff in the executive lounge....
