The hostel itself is okay - friendly staff, nice communal area on ground floor, good 'drop in' facilities (showers etc) for day visits. But our double room, on top floor, was almost too small to move in (though bathroom fine) and our friend's single room (on 1st floor) was even smaller with no windows. The roof terrace (where ceramic workshops... More

The location and the setup of this hostel are a good match. The price is also very reasonable. The hostel lies within the touristic central area, with lots of shops and souvenirs stands. This area is especially lively at night with the stands and shops lit up in perfect Chinese style! Although this historical area is mostly renovated it still... More

This hostel is located in the touristy area in Hangzhou. I didn’t find it charming but extremely touristy, with a lot of souvenir shops. It was within walking distance to the west lake but a bit far. I stayed in their tatami double room. It was very basic, but nevertheless had everything that I needed. The hotel staff was unfriendly... More

This hostel was ok. It was a good price for a good location. We had a duplex room, the living area was with the bathroom downstairs and the bed was a mattress on the floor on the mezzanine floor. The towels provided were minuscule so we used our own. Each time we took a shower a weird smell would come... More

I only sleep there 1 night. What can I say it was reasonable clean I would say better chinese standard. 1 significant handicap is that there are only 3 showers for the whole hostel (rooms with not ensuite bathroom.) Reception staff speak good english what it cant be said about chinese restaurant belomging to the hotel. They dont even have... More

The hostel is in the best location possible, near a nice shopping area and close to the West Lake. The facilities are average, with lots of beds in a small room, and little ventilation. The staff is nice, but we always have to wait for little things. As hostel guests, we have 20% off at the cafe and 15% off... More

Cheap. For the money you pay you get what you'd hope for. Nothing special. Staff. Very helpful when asked, although they often seemed very busy. Rooms. Average. Ok bed with minimal storage (dorm) Facilities. Average . Key cards kept breaking and needed replacing daily. Pool table was ripped. Not much of a common area for which to relax in.

Pretty typical hostel, but nothing special. We had a private twin room that was clean and a reasonable size, but the doona was thin and the only towels were the size of face washers. The staff at the front desk spoke English and were helpful. It is in a good location near the Drum Tower and about 15 minutes walk... More

I love cats and when we were greeted by a Siamese cat at the reception desk, it made me smile! I was touched when I found out our room were near the yard. It was very nice, felt like in 'ancient' times because the building architecture is like the one you usually see in Chinese traditional- themed drama. In the... More
