We had a very large room with excellent views over the city. However, others in our group were given very small rooms looking out at a very close brick wall. Very firm beds. Buffet breakfast less western than many China hotels. Whilst as a group we received an easy checkout some prior visits by the same Tour Leader experienced a... More

Needs a makeover in places. The rooms were big with a great view over the city and provided for every need. Breakfast was good with a selection of Chinese and semi western foods. Close to a big shopping / entertainment precinct . We didn't have any real concerns except the smell of cigarettes and I couldn't help thinking about The... More

The room temperature was 27 degrees which was a bit uncomfortable especially after a long day of travelling. The manager did try to get it turned down to 23 degrees when a group of us on the tour complained which made the night a bit more comfortable to sleep but in the morning the temp went up again to 27!!... The hotel was clean and the rooms and bathroom are large and well equipped. The room looked nice but needed a little maintenance, carpet coming up, water damage to some wall areas. Free cable internet in the room. Good breakfast selection.

I visited this hotel as part of a tour. The hotel is beautiful. The bathroom in my room was like a bowling alley. It was very long. The room was wonderful. Cannot comment on location as I had organised transport.

Incredibly huge bathroom , but keep the blinds down as our view was of a building site with all the bathroom fittings in a heap on the ground . Very clean . Good breakfast , plenty of variety there . Location is good .

Luxurious hotel with an amazing bathroom. When we first got to our room we had problems with the airconditioning and hot water but these were soon fixed. Great location opposite the canals. Breakfast is tailored to the Asian market, which was a bit disappointing. Our room was large and clean.

This hotel was only a stopover between Beijing and Shanghai and thank god for that. When we first arrived there was a cleaning woman arguing with her husband in the foyer, Great first impression. Our rooms had no air-conditioning and it was like sleeping in a hot sauna. The room smelled of cigarettes. When I rang to find out if... More

The decor and furnishing of the hotel look luxury with wood trimming at the right places. The rooms are reasonable sized and things are ok. I heard some people are complaining of the air-conditioning unit which keeps the temperature too high; my room is ok. The best part is to take a walk just outside of the hotel in the... More

The location is good, overseeing the ancient canal. Opposite there is a local market selling almost everything but the qualities are not guaranteed. On the front left across the street, there is a big underground shopping centre with a supermarket. Inside the hotel, there is a jewelry store near the entrance which shows a sign of bankruptcy for years. I... More
