Stayed in Hangzhou for 3 days 2 nights and decided to pick this hotel given its proximity to the West Lake. The hotel is conveniently located and probably 10-15 mins walk from the West Lake. A giant shopping mall opposite the street so you basically get everything you need. Pros: Great location, reasonable price (around US$150 per night), stable wifi... More

Excellent location , not far from the west lake and walking distance from the old market/town Rooms are modern and nicely decorated ( well avoid rooms without Windows ) perfect wifi and work station Breakfast is 95% chinese which is not always appealing to Europeans/Americans . Friendly staff at the reception , but it is to be noted they do... More

I'm writing this review to express my thanks to Raymond, the front desk manager and to commend him for excellent service beyond the call of duty. I booked this hotel but didn't manage to stay here. (It was my own mistake in booking the wrong dates). I arrived close to midnight, When he realized that I booked the wrong date,... More

Stayed for one night for business. (Possible negatives) 1) worn carpets 2) weak shower with luke-warm water. This may be critical in winter if hot shower is not avaiable. 3) people smoking all over the place 4) Limited TV programs. I did not scrutinize all the program but I could not find any western program at a glance. 5) Cable... More

I was in Hangzhou for about 5 days as part of a graduate study abroad course with 20 of my classmates. I really loved the location of this hotel because it was directly across from a really large department store with a supermarket and Starbucks (better than some U.S. stores!) in the basement and walking distance from street shops. It... More

A fairly well presented external building and main hall, but then very poorly maintained lifts, corridor and rooms. For example, there are very few light bulbs in general, which makes it look very dark, also very low ceilings in corridors. Book only if location is convenient to you and if you get a good deal. First the good, location is walking distance to West Lake. Rooms look nice, though the details leave much to be desired (drawers made of splintering plywood, dirty shower corners). Now to the customer service. The gentlemen at the concierge desk were very helpful giving us tips on where to explore around West Lake. And finally to the reason for the... More

First, don't expect a lot. This is a three to four-star Chinese hotel and it is run with a lack of the extra finesse usually associated with better brand name hotels. The location of the hotel is not bad. We came in by train and the Hangzhou train station is just 10min drive away by taxi. Take my advice and... More

There have been a few negative comments on here about the hotel, but what you need to undrestand ia that this is a city hotel and not a resort hotel. If you want a pool or to spend all day lounging in 5 star facilities this is not for you. What it is, is situated in a perfect location for... More

Although the front of the hotel is a little confusing (it looks as if you are walking into a mall), once you are checked in and ushered up to your room, it is a stylish and comfortable place. No wi-fi in the room, just down in the lobby, which is a great way to watch the world go by anyway.... More
