We booked for a two day stay. We were upgraded - God help those who receive a basic room! The first room was freezing cold and stank of cigarette smoke, the glass sliding door onto the terrace was broken (off its rails) and all in all, very poor. The next room we got was a better location (on 2nd floor)... More

Was there in a business trip and stayed from June 18 to June 23. What a disaster this place is. Had it not for the host of this trip paying for the rooms as I was in his Territory, would had left that instant I checked in. We were placed in the so called "VIP" building a few meters away... More

Traveled alone, non-Chinese speaker, in Hangzhou for a December weekend after a business trip. This hotel is a couple blocks from the main street straddling part of Westlake; the hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from Westlake with good walking paths. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and quiet --- some pictures attached (my camera is not good with artificial... More

This hotel has the most incredible rooms. Large, clean and luxurious. You wouldn't expect this from the public areas that are small and unassuming by contrast. Free drinks (alcoholic) and snacks were available in the lobby outside the room. I didn't eat in the hotel, as we went out to one of the many local restaurants. However this hotel is... More

This hotel is located about 1/2 mile (0.8 km) from the shore of West Lake. The rooms were very nice and well equipped. The fitness center is in another building which is very close to the main building. The hotel is on a road that is much less busy than the roads that circle West Lake. This results in the... More

A colleague of mine selected this hotel for a quick weekend visit to Hangzhou. I found it a pleasant change from the usual Western hotels, and the setting was quite spectacular. Rooms were fine, restaurant was OK. Gym left a lot to be desired, but I guess most people who stay here get their exercise by other means.

Very nice room, fresh flowers and a plate of fruits on arrival. Use the slippers because the floors are dirty, but this seems to be the case in all chinese hotels. The breakfast buffe is large but perhaps not aimed at westerners primarily. The staff is well-meaning but do not speak so much english. Avoid the western resaurant at all... More

Typically Government run business. Big, bold and ugly facility whose staff's attitude, ability and service remind of past communist times. Almost impossible communicating in English, which makes the description "International" a farce. Booked three nights, but moved to another place after one night. Definitely not a recommendable place.

I will admit that part of our problem was that we went to Hangzhou during a Chinese holiday. We won't make that mistake again. This hotel was a farther from West Lake than the website made it seem, and we had trouble finding a taxi driver who was willing to take us there. That definitely was a part of my... More

Originally booked a Superior Hill View Room at a discounted rate online. It wasn't until I got to the room that I realized we'd been upgraded to an Executive Deluxe Room with a very charming view of the Hangzhou hilltops on three sides. The bed was very soft and comfortable and the room was 5 star quality with a high... More
