Pros: Location is perfect, tucked along a quiet alley 5 minutes from the lake. Service was friendly, chipper, and excellent. Great restaurant, fair prices- nice salads and pizza. Breakfast was also very good. Great cold imported beer selection! Recommendations for town and information were spot on. Pre-booked online- 180rmb/night for en suite room. Room size was adequate but on the... More

First of all, this place has the most comfortable beds. I stayed in one of the dormitory rooms, and it was great. The rooms are extremely clean, and all the furniture is like new, and the showers and bathrooms are awesome, and you can get a lock for the lockers at the front desk. The staff speaks very good English,... More

Big draw is the food: Love the stone-oven-baked pizza. Amazing. Accommodations are great. Love the comfy bed. Couple concerns: We never got to try the full breakfast because we were always passing through on a Sunday night. The kitchen is closed on Mondays! Hopefully owners will reconsider this awkwardness. Many travellers want to eat Lost Garden's awesome food before departing... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, 2 in the deluxe room just off the patio, and 1 in the family room. We were waiting to sign on an apartment that last day, and they even allowed us a space to let my toddler nap well past check-out time. The family room is 3 twin beds, so it's actually not all... More

Stayed at Lost Garden during Spring Festival in February for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it. It's very conveniently located next to Green Lake where you'd better go early in the morning or late at night to avoid the crowds. Amazing breakfast selection, great coffee, beers, pizza and pasta. Lovely rooftop to hang out at without all the fuss of... More

This is a very nice guest house in a quiet neighbourhood at a very reasonable price. It's clean, the staff are very helpful and the shower has plenty of warm water. This in itself doesn't make it particularly special what does is the food. Even now, months afterwards, I cannot get over how delicious the food was. They have a... More

It's in a good location, near the lake but away from the hubbub; we walked everywhere. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind, doing things above and beyond and just generally friendly and kind. They were like this with everyone from my 70 year old mother to the young, lost looking man who had been staying there... More

Tucked away in a residential area behind the main road around Green Lake, an area which is wonderful to walk around at night due to a whole range of musicians, public dancing and beautiful scenery. Well signposted and plenty of taxis in the area. Taxi cost 10 Rmb from the bus station where the airport bus drops you off (catch... More

In a nice neighborhood just walking distance to the Green Lake, the Bird and Flower Market and many restaurants is Lost Garden, a charming guesthouse with friendly and helpful English speaking staff. Our train to Dali was not leaving until 10 in the evening and we needed a room to freshen up before the trip. We were offered the 6-bed... More

We only stopped here for a rest as catching the train to Dali the night itself. But here's my review of the short stay here. Lost Garden is located very near to Cuihu. Good place to stay if you are looking for somewhere to stay near the lake. The dorms are very nice and cosy, nicely decorated too. Spacious, soft... More
