We stayed here for two nights. Room was comfortable and clean, and staff were very helpful with suggestions and advice. Great location - walking distance to the lake. The roof terrace is a nice place to relax and food is good, particularly the muesli. Would stay here again.

This is a very charming hostel with great, friendly staff and a comfortable environment. the veranda was a lovely setting and the food was very good too. The only issue for me was the wafer-thin curtains. I'd been out sampling the Kunming nightlife with my travel buddy and was woken earlier than planned thanks to sunlight streaming into the room.... Set in a residential area close to the Green Lake Park, this hostel has a cozy roofdeck restaurant/cafe where you can chill, eat and have a drink. Though there is no garden (maybe that is why it is called lost!) in the guesthouse, I like the overall feel of the place, it was conveniently located close to restaurants/bars/shops but in... More

I stayed here for one night. My room was on the top floor next to the restaurant. My room had its own bathroom with western toilet and shower. The bed was comfortable and the room had some nice touch's. The restaurant is surrounded by plants and flowers which hides views of apartment buildings. I did not eat here as restaurant... More

Lost Garden was offered to us as part of a package when we were looking for 'character' accommodation in Kunming. It is tucked away down a narrow alley off a main street so be prepared for a short walk with luggage. Location is good, just a few minutes' walk from Green Lake which attracts musicians, and a bit further to... More

The park near the hostel was very nice and peacefull. The locals singed and Dance there. The staff here was very helpful, they arranged/booked all of our train and flight tickets. Eventhough we had to pay 20 RMB pr. Ticket it was very easy to do it this Way. We stayed in doorm it was nice and clean. The breakfast... More

The staff were very nice and knew excellent English and were very nice and kind, for example i was leaving early the next morning and they considered to do without the key deposit, so that I will not have to wait. also the hotel has nice atmosphere and the other tourists are western and friendly. The hotel is a bit... More

The Lost Garden, whilst not a luxury place, was clean and well cared for with the rooms nicely designed with antique chinese furniture pieces and a comfortable bed with snowy white sheets. The bathrooms whilst small were usable, and shampoo and bath gel etc was supplied. The hot water was great. Whilst there my room was throughly cleaned every day.... More

Stayed for 2 nights in a twin room in the same building as the cafe (downstairs across the dorm room). While the room is quite small and the bathroom a bit dark; it has a very cozy feeling. Staffs are very friendly. We mostly walk to the main attraction in Kunming (they give a very useful map), and from there... More

I found this place to be very convenient for most times. - It is located just next to the green lake park. - Lots of shopping areas, restaurants around the hostel. - 2 bus stops away from the main shopping street in Kunming. - Just take a public bus to the east bus station where you can book the bus...
