Stayed here twice during transit between cities and both times got the same room. Our room 907 overlooks the front, which gets a great view of the city wall. The room by the window is triangular so it juts out and feels that much bigger otherwise, it’s a decent sized room. It was too bad the windows don’t really open... More

I had stayed here at the former Sino Pearl Hotel in 2004, 2005 and 2006 as part of a Global Volunteer team. It had been upgraded to 4 star in 2005 which was a joke as nothing had changed except the additional 15% tax added and likely some type of bribe passed under a table to achieve this level. The... As members of [--] in October of 2007, my wife and I stayed at the hotel for three weeks. We would rate the hotel as “tourist class” inasmuch as it needs refurbishing, although it boasts decent enough rooms and facilities. We requested extra chairs and an ironing board (and iron) and we not only got them right away but kept... More

The Hotel itself is ageing and needs renovation although it looked like the reception area had been modernised, but having said that the rooms were comfortable and were generally clean, so we had no complaints apart from the “air conditioning” whch just seemed to push air around no matter what temperature was selected. It wasn’t too much of a problem... More

We have just returned from our stay at the Gaosu Shenzhou Hotel in Xian. Our initial thoughts of the hotel were - very impressed. Unfortunately as we delved further into the hotel we realized that the front entrance was a facade to create a false impression. Our room was average, looked tired and in dire need of some renovation. The... More

Hotel has been renamed: Gaosu Shenzhou Hotel. I've stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world, but for my trip to Xi'an I stayed where my volunteer organization booked the rooms. I was there for three weeks. While the hotel rooms could use a bit of a renovation, never in my wildest dreams did I expect to enjoy... More

Stayed only two nights at the Xi'an Sino Pearl hotel while travelling with a student tour group. The hotel had friendly service, spoke english, a wonderful breakfast buffet (complete with scrambled eggs and waffles and maple syrup) and the restaurant served us 30 hungry students a delicious dinner banquet. during your stay there i recommend going for a foot massage....
