Although there was nothing I could pinpoint as being disappointing with the Grand Mercure, this was my least favourite of the seven hotels we stayed in during our two week tour of China. The Grand Mercure is situated in Remnin Square which is occupied by the swish five star Sofitel and a rather bleak-looking Chinese hotel that I didn't note... more

This hotel is a part of the sofitel group in xian. The hotel is luxury and perfect. It is amazing that a hotel can offer you that much in such a convinient price. We where happy staying there and would deffintely stay there again. more

I liked it. Tricky to get back to hotel from center of town as English is not spoken. But we managed. more

This hotel is fine. But we found the front desk not always available, and the bell hop service late. The room was a bit small, but all right. Compared to other hotels in Beijing and Shanghai that we stayed at, you could only get Central China Television. No English stations, no CNN. Breakfast was the best part, but again the... more

Grand Mercure is located in a park-like area with two other massive hotels. It's fairly well located for walking into the city, although it isn't a particularly interesting walk until you get near the centre and you need to cross several very busy roads, always fun in China! Our room was very nice, with a massive bed, slightly hard, but... more

on arrival, we were greeted by a very happy bell boy, who made us feel welcome straight away. on entering the reception, you notice the beautiful decoration and the cleanliness of the the place. On the reception the staff were again, smiling and really pleased to welcome you to the hotel. having had a very easy signing in, and passport... more

As our preferred brand IHG currently doesn't have hotel in Xi'an, we stayed at this midscale ACCOR hotel adjacent to Sofitel. We paid less than $60 per night for standard non-smoking room. It was on a smaller side but it was still very modern and had everything midscale hotel should have. We could use Sofitel's facilities, including pool and hot... more

I thought this hotel was fantastic and was surprised to read that some reviewers were disappointed . As an Accor Advantage Member, I received even more value from 50% food and beverage at the hotel (would reccomend this membership, its great value). Check in was very good and our room was available as soon as we arrived (9.00am - well... more

It was part of the Grand Mercure franchise in a tri-hotel complex. Secluded from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Xi'an, the hotel was quite good. Rooms were clean and food in the restaurants in the complex were good. We had a bad experience with the staff refusing to change the room to a non smoking one saying... more
