We also stayed only one night at this hotel as part of a tour. The room was adequate, if a little musty, but the bed was nice. Like another reviewer mentioned, the breakfast buffet was not as good as the other hotels in which we stayed, but was fine and had a good selection. We only did a little exploring... More

We only stayed one night at the Grand New World, Xian, as part of a tour. This may be the reason I don't remember much about it except the bath tub, which was nice and deep enough to soak in! The little tea/coffee set up was pleasant and the breakfast buffet had a nice selection. The room was clean and... More

We stayed one night during our trip to china and the rooms was big if a little dated but was clean and spacious. The dumpling and dynasty show was very good and well worth the evening even though we were tired from our trip to the terracotta warriors which is a must! Breakfast was good with variety and the beds... More

A world class hotel that delivered a few nights of a fine stay. Located a short distance from the Xian city walls, the hotel has a helpful staff and a fine restaurant on the premises. Quiet rooms and a good breakfast make the place a nice place to be. The incredible murals overlooking the Koi pond add a finetouch.

Was there with a Gate1 Travel Tour group. Very nice hotel. Buffet breakfast was not as good as other hotels we stayed in throughout China, but was still good. Room was comfortable, big enough for two, and very clean. No ice machine on the floor so had to request it. This seems to be the norm in China. Overall we... More

Lovely hotel, rooms very comfortable with kettle, fridge and bottled water supplied. There is a safe in the room. We had the shui jiao dumpling dinner and show at the hotel which was an interesting night with good food. The dumplings were lovely. The indoor pool was great and deserted but you need to wear a swimming cap so if... More

We stayed here for a brief 2 night stay as part of a tour and did everything it said on the can. Rooms clean and spacious with tea and coffee in room. Beds very firm but I like them that way. Bar downstairs did a nice toastie if you get fed up with Chinese food. Plenty of breakfast choice, though... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in May 2014 with my 7 year old daughter. This hotel has a large foyer with a lovely grand sweeping staircase that leads up to the dining area. Check in and check out was fast. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. There is an atm machine in the... More

I stayed here as part of a guided tour. It is a large hotel, suited to conventions and large events. The lobby was spacious with some seating areas scattered about. There is a magnificent wall sculpture and fish pond just outside the lobby. The rooms were pretty comfortable but the beds were like rocks. They had no iron or ironing... More

Stayed for 2 nights in May 2014. Large rooms, firm beds, tea and coffee and coffee mate in the room - a rarity in China where its usually just green and black tea and no milk. Several English language TV stations, though not BBC. Excellent choice at breakfast.
