I am travelling World Wide and have stayied in many 5stars Hotels including the "W" series and "Millennium" Mayfair I am just saying that to show you with what I am judging it. I was reading the reviews and I was freaked. I thought that it wuld have been a disaster. So I also asked a seond reservation to the... more

The entrance is indeed spectacular but yet again our rooms were not ready on arrival. The offer of 'free' drinks did not include a beer which really is rather expensively priced for China. It took them ages to get my suitcase to the room - eventually I had to retrieve is myself! Otherwise pretty reasonable place and conveniently located within... more

You scratch your head when you think about how this hotel was designed. You have about 8 inches (about 20 cm) of usable space in the closet because of a huge electrical panel. Yes, I said eight inches. Also, there is no elevator or escalator service to the dining area, only stairs. I wouldn't design a hotel this way. Also... more

The hotel is situated inside the old city wall on the western side. We arrived in the morning after a short taxi ride of around 20 minutes from the railway station which cost Yuan 11. Time taken will depend on time of day and traffic in Xián which can be chaotic. We were appreciative that we could check into our... more

Booked by the tour operator, we stayed only one night. A good tourist hotel - rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, though there were a few large tours staying at the time which meant that supplies ran out quickly. The bar was expensive - bottle of Tsingtao for 27 Yuan - hugely overpriced. An acetate smell pervaded the... more

I joined a tour and got to stay 3 nights at this so called 5 star hotel as shown on the tour itinerary. We were so sick of the smell as soon as we walked into our room. The aircon was noisy and the room was dark with cigarette smell. To my horror, I found an insect on my bed.... more

Only stayed here for one night whilst on our brief stopover in Xi'an to see the Terracotta Warriors...expected this hotel to not be brilliant for £30 but was very pleasantly surprised when we arrrived to find out that the hotel was pretty much a 5 star hotel.. The atrium was simply stunning with a vast open space that is very... more

Very nice hotel, a bit distant from city centre. Stayed 2 nights in November. Lovely big rooms with good furnishings. Indoor Swimming pool and large well equipped gym also had tennis court but didn't look as if this had been used for some time.Breakfast above average but no good coffee. City is quite polluted and poor air quality. Impressive large... more

Huge foyer with commanding murals and the stone sculpture of warriors behind reception. We stayed on the ninth floor for three nights. The lifts were very reliable and fast. The room was large and very comfortable and had every thing working, although we hid the two bottles of Evian, for which you have to pay 20 yuan. It took me... more

The entrance - especially in the evening - is amazin. You get your first glimps of the faboulous terracotta wariors. And even behind the reception is a beautifull picture. The buffet was a little bit dissappointing, but that can be because we came in late in the evening. The rooms are very clean, the people are very friendly. A good... more
