The good: centrally located, 15 min walk from the bell tower and 5 min from the east gate; a few min walk away from one of the city's main shopping street; nice rooms; clean bathrooms; great choice of breakfast; friendly service; two restaurants; The bad: look dated and dirty, do t let yourself be deceived; except for the two restaurants... I was overall pleased with this hotel. The lobby and public areas were quite nice, and our room was alright but seemed a little bit outdated. We kept having problems with the heater going off and the room stayed really cold. When we asked at the front desk they went up and fixed it, but then I think maybe it... More

This hotel was well appointed and quite large. Nice lobby and helpful staff to revolve the doors for you. We had a surprisingly difficult time ordering in the restaurant, though. They use I pads and seem to only offer the tourists the pricy options. Upon check out, we received a lovely magnet.

I was amazed at the size and layout of the room for the price. Clean and comfortable hotel with free wifi in the lobby. At night, I would recommend taking a walk to the city wall as it is beautifully adorned with lights. The complimentary breakfast has a great spread.

I stayed at the Grand metro and had stayed there 3 times when I visit Xian. It used to be the Grand Hyatt and it was sold a ew years. The first I went under Grand Metro the hotel was still very nice and had kept up with the hyatt concept. Unfortunately on this last trip in September I was... More

This hotel is centrally located but a bit outdated. Wifi only located in the lobby with sporadic connection. No air conditioning so we attempted to open the windows. It turns out that you have to call house keeping for them to come and open the window for you.

The hotel used to be the Hyatt and was where Bill Clinton stayed when he visited Xian (They are very proud of that visit). It is a little dated but centrally located, not too far from the City Wall. It had an excellent breakfast, service was fine. It was suggested by our travel agent and was a good place to... More

This hotel was 'evidently', according to a plaque in the lobby...a 5* hotel. But...no longer. The lobby level as lovely, as was the Oasis atrium area and the breakfast area. But...much of the carpeting where I walked was permanently stained...including our room's. And..the 2 sofas in our room were worn and the upholstery had a couple of holes. The room... More
