I stayed here in July 2014 for three nights. I was upgraded to a 'business' room on the seventh floor and it was acceptable but I found part of the carpet slightly damp and the lighting was rather unreliable; I suspect that there were some electrical wiring problems. The windows were a little dirty. Other than that, the room was... More

View to die for. Comfortable beds quiet hotel despite in the center of town. Front desk very helpful. Close to shops and restaurants for those craving American food KFC and McDonald's are across the street lol. Major attractions in walking distance or by bus, taxi. City train less than 2 miles away. For the shoppers one of the largest shopping... More

If you want location, you can't beat it. It's right opposite the Bell Tower and, despite me being a light sleeper, I was not affected by the traffic at all. The service was fine and the room was comfortable. Certainly not a five-star hotel but clean and comfortable. You're also around the corner from the Muslim Quarter which is a... More

Pros: Location is very central and you get a great view of the Bell and Drum Towers and the Muslim quarter. The breakfast buffet is pretty ample. The rooms were of a good size. Cons: The view is obscured by dirty windows. The bathrooms reeked of mildew (very visible) and the rooms of smoke (despite it being a non-smoking room).... More

We booked this thinking we'd be at the heart of the city and its attractions. In fact we were TOO close. The Bell Tower is at the centre of a busy traffic island and lit up at night...directly across from our window! The bright light and noise was distracting, so we slept poorly. The room looked like it was once... More

From the outside this looks very impressive and the location is great. The truth is that it is run down, pokey and overall not comfortable at all. The lighting in the rooms is poor and the size of a standard room is difficult for 2 adults to move around. Fortunately the breakfast was very pleasing. A good choice of western... More

Not a great first impression, because when we tried to check in they didn't have our booking even though I had a confirmation slip from booked through their website. 10 minutes later and a call to the sales team to confirm we did in fact have a booking they gave us a room. Unfortunately, despite being a "non - smoking"... More

The location is great, rooms ok, but the front desk was rude and unethical. Upon checkout we asked the front desk to call a taxi to take us to the airport. They refused and said we need to use their private hotel car at 4x the price. We asked for the phone number of the taxi company, so could call... More

Of all the hotels we stayed at while travelling in China, this was the least pleasant experience. As others have indicated, the location is the primary selling point. Walkable to restaurants, Muslim Quarter and other nightlife and certainly a spectacular view of the Bell Tower. The lobby is quite nice, but the rooms and other public areas are old and... More

This hotel used to be the top hotel in Xi'an 15 years ago, but it continues to go down hill. As long as the prices are low - it is worth staying at. If the prices are above $120 USD per night - there are better hotels to stay at than this one. I stayed in the executive suite and... More
