The Bell Tower Hotel is a very old worn out hotel. My room was small and in great need of updating. Pealing wallpaper, moldy shower, worn out furniture and horrible internet service. The restaurant was poor and the service even worse. Only positive I can think of is the location.

Such an expensive hotel for a low service in terms of competence, avaliabilty, and clean spaces. The wifi connection didn't work at all, people at reception don't speak any word of english! Brekfast not good at all.

The reception at the front desk reminded us of that in some state hotels in other former communist countries, a deposit of 400 rmb was requested "for the minibar" which by the way contained three bottles of water and two cans of beer. The rooms were older but satisfactory, we had no views on the Bell Tower at the adjacent... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Team at hotel very friendly. Location is very centrally oriented to several city points of view. Rooms are ok but can be updated. Not bad at all, but location and presentation has potential would 'justify' more modern facilities. Tip: travel plan to terra cotta army: leave early (730 am) major roadworks inbetween xian and museum site.

The Bell Tower Hotel is ideally situated within the city walls of Xian and is an easy walk from the walls, Bell and Drum Towers and the Muslim Quarter. The check-in staff were pleasant with adequate English. Our long narrow room was a little dark (which is standard in Chinese hotels), clean and the bed comfortable with a small sitting... More

Sometime during your visit to China you will want to travel to Xi'an and visit the The Museum of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. Being a major tourist hub, there are plenty of hotels to choose from. You can stay in hotels ranging from the luxurious Hilton Xian to budget apartments. After talking to a number of our friends, we decided... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking the Bell Tower in town and near the Muslim quarter with its wonderful market. Unfortunately, it is not well kept - the rooms are in dire need of upgrading (we changed rooms once because the first was particularly in bad shape) and the staff are downright unhelpful. There was no tourist information... More

Traveled to Xi'an for touring the city and the Terra Cotta Warriors. The Bell Tower Hotel is directly across from the magnificent Bell Tower (wow during the day..a stunner at nite) with my family including two adults and two children. Only the pricier rooms have a view of the Bell Tower. So we had no view. But since we were... More

A nice big room with a great view of the tower. It had all the stuff it should have and is central to the main attractions. Also close to good shopping . This is a standard middle of the road hotel, reasonably priced and well worth considering.

Very well located in centre, close to the (believe it or not) ancient Bell Tower, which is pleasantly illuminated at night. A 500 yuan deposit is required. The lobby areas very stylish. Rooms less so but quite acceptable. Breakfast is good but expensive if paying at hotel (88 yuan). Evening buffet also expensive at168 yuan. Minimal tea and coffee in... More
