We decided to stay in Han Tang House because of the positive reviews. Little did we know how much we would regret it! We booked a deluxe double room for 5 nights. The room had a lingering unidentifiable smell but the bed was comfortable with clean white sheets, working AC, roomy bathroom with shower cabin - no amenities. English speaking... More

I booked a double room in Hantang House for 4 nights in September and was allocated a unit on the 4th floor. The property has no lift service, so be prepared to climb the flight of stairs and this is certainly a minus for travelers with a suitcase rather than a backpack. The room had a modern furnishing, the bed... More

We stayed one night in this hostel, and the hostel overall was brilliant. very clean, beautiful rooms, western style bathrooms. we shared an 8 bed mixed dorm and the overall experience was postive. Plenty of room, clean beds, plug beside each bed, shelf to store items beside bed, brilliant. food was good, a little overpriced but was mostly western food.... More

We stayed here for two nights in a twin room. We arrived in Xian from Beijing at 8am. We could not find the staff at the train station to pick us up so we gave them a call. They said wait there. Five minutes later they called back to say the staff member had already left the train station with... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in late July. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with enough room for everything we needed. Bathroom was great. The breakfast menu was great with generous serves. Coffee at the cafe at reception was very good. It was in a great... More

Came here from Beijing to see the Terracotta warriors. We had stayed in a traditional courtyard hotel in Beijing, this was less traditional and had more of a "tourist" feel. It was clean and comfortable but not so much to my taste. The cafe/bar was a little expensive and sold "Western" food. The bedrooms were good with functional air con'.... More

What i remembered well was that the hostel location was really great to go to anywhere, the bell tower is just about 5 minutes walk and muslim quarter is about 10. The hostel is located in a small alley (remember to print out a map, could be lil tricky to find). I stayed in this hostel because it has a... More

My first impression of the hostel was that it looked like a hotel. We had an overall pleasant stay but in hindsight, it was a bit over-priced. Pros: - Terra-cotta soldiers tour that didn't include shopping - Popular with foreigners - Chilled atmosphere in the bar/lounge area - room size - Security measures: having to swipe room cards to get... We stayed here for 2 nights in August. We booked a private quad sharing room for our family with 2 kids aged 9 & 11. We got a room which had 4 double decker beds and an attached bathroom. The room was very large & comfortable but the floor & toilet was not quite clean. The room also wasnt cleaned... More

This hotel has got the backpacker's scene down to an art. We arrived on the overnight train from Beijing, and were picked up along with a few others and taken to the hotel. We arrived at about 8:30, and the Terracotta Warrier tour left at 9:30. Even though they initially didn't seem to have any spots left for the tour,... More
