Great atmosphere and centrally located within the Old City Walls, within a 10-15 minute walk to the Bell/Drum Towers and the Muslim Quarter. Rooms were clean and simple with comfortable beds. Lots of staff (English-speaking) on hand and very helpful in arranging activities and day tours (e.g. Terra Cotta warriors). Good selection of western food, drinks, etc. although you pay... More

Stayed here in a double room. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful, far more so than at the far more expensive hotel we had stayed in in Beijing. Room was basic but fine. My only complaint about the room is that our bin wasn't emptied, which was an issue given that toilet paper had to be thrown... More

After travelling China for a month it has to be said that this was easily the best hostel in China. Here's a few reasons 1) western style beds even in dorms and were extremely comfy 2) right in the middle of Xi'an, ideal for everything 3) extremely good English speaking staff 4) great food 5) fantastic atmosphere for travellers 6)... This place was the nicest I stayed in all of China. GREAT beds, food, staff and location. It's fantastic value for money, but aspects might still be pricey for some people. For example, the food is delicious, but mostly western, so is expensive, but the location of the hostel means that oh can easily pop out to eat. Hint -... More

This was a great hostel/ guest house. I am a solo travel and like to stay in my own room in hostel/ guest houses and this was great. I did have an issue when i arrived as my room's bathroom broke down but they put me in a dorm room by myself and gave me discount, the staff did what... More

The staff at this hostel are super friendly and helpful . Rooms are of hotel standard and just luxurious. Breakfast is wonderful - best I had in China . Great location - walking distance to Bell and Drum towers and to the city centre. Could not ask for more in a hostel .

We stayed there as a couple for the weekend, and the staff were unbelievably helpful from even before we arrived. We couldn't make a booking online so they allowed us to do it over the phone, they picked us up from the train station for free, they helped us to arrange a great tour to the Terracotta Army, and they... This is a fantastic place to stay. At first, the fact that it was in an alley made us a bit concerned but then we saw the friendly exterior leading into an even friendlier gathering place in the lobby where you could also be served food/drink, and the awesome friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and we were totally won... The rooms are clean and spacious but they do not change the sheet even after 5 day?. The location is very central and the staff very friendly. We have breakfast there it is good but a bit pricy, the coffee is very good but at an excessive price. a good place to meet foreigners. There is a lot of excursions... More

This hostel had some of the greatest dorms I have ever stayed in. The mattress on my bed is gloriously soft, and the bathroom has been designed with hostels in mind. The toilet, sink and shower are all seperated so its possible for 3 people to use it at the same time without infringing on the others privacy. Why don’t... More
