This hotel looks very pretty and the location is great, the rooms are little tired and the shower was only just adequate. The breakfast was a bit haphazard, and we were made to go into a little sideroom - not really enough room for everyone. more

Traditional Chinese architecture with lovely pond and garden and large pleasant lobby. Room and bath were fine, though the rooms are spread out among several areas. Booked one night in the Garden Hotel via a travel agent. We had a standard room in one of the wings overlooking the gardens. Nice view, but rather bleak and cold at this time of year (January). We stayed here for 5 nights with our 7 month old baby. The lobby looks spotless but it is a little more shabby as you dig below the surface. Check in crazy, rooms I would say 2 star by UK standards. The lobby of the hotel is much nicer than the rooms, as they are old and have cigarette burns on furniture. The breakfast is OK, basically enough to carry you over until dinner if need be.
