We stayed at the xiangzhimen hostel for 3 nights while in Xian. We had a room in the basement. The room itself was nicely decorated, bathroom was reasonably clean, some left over hairs. The rest of the room was a bit dusty. The room was situated in a basement which meant no windows, but a cool temperature at all times.... More

Two adults two kids in their huge family bed.we slept very well. Small room but good size bathroom. The hostel is staffed by helpful young locals. Cafe and bar_ a backpacker scene and not for us but nicely done. Location is excellent for bus to train station to get bus to terracotta warriors. Tastefully furnished to suit location

This hostel is located in a good area and easy to find. The hostel itself is very pretty and has aesthetically pleasing communal areas. The staff did not speak very good English so be prepared to struggle with this. The food and drink is also over priced for what it is compared to other hostels. There was no really atmosphere... For my second time I have been in Xian , I choose the same hostel, the price is reasonable , we choose the dormitory , unfortunately we had to ask to move out because of one of our room mate, so early in the morning we moved out , but my partner was so traumatised but this night asked me... More

Great backpacker! Clean rooms and toilets and friendly staff. 3-5 minutes with bus to trainstation/citycenter. And a very good internet-connection in the rooms for being China. Only minus I have to say about this hostel is the lockers in the room. Very bad quality made of wood. Could easily opend a locked one with my bare hands. Hopefully you will... More

Lovely place, traditional house with a local feel to it. Has a bar and restaurant (food is ok, decently priced). Staff is friendly and helpful (pleasantly surprised by their level of English). Stayed in a private room with ensuite bathroom. The rooms were clean and spacious enough. Location is good if you're going to cycle around the wall (recommendable), although... More

Fairly cheap for private double but there is no wifi in the rooms, only fairly unreliable wifi in the overpriced and not very good restaurant. The rooms were great though. English movie channel and very nice bathroom, although glass to the bathroom so only go the double with someone you are cosy with.

This hostel is well located very near the South gate to the city. It is a very large hostel in an interesting old building with helpful staff. There is also an attached restaurant/bar which is slightly separated from the hostel itself. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was clean and a decent size, and the lockers were big... More

We decided to do a self tour of china last November starting in Beijing and then moving on to Xian. We had stayed in a Jingaling hotel which was good on the budget but was difficult on the communication. On arrival at Xian train station we were met by a couple waving an add for there hostel. Being 50 plus... More

Stayed for 2 nights in a twin room (double rooms were not available). The room was ok, working AC, clean (bathroom smells a bit in the beginning but after a shower it goes away). The place is nicely decorated in old Chinese style. Location is great, 10 min walk from the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. Staff is friendly and... More
