When you go to breakfast, be sure to open the blinds and be entertained watching the traffic in front of the hotel. This is a great place to stay with helpful, friendly staff and a central location. Be sure to walk to the Sun and Moon Pagodas and go inside - the under water tunnel was fun for all of... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during our Odyssey Tours trip to China. Hotel was comfortable, clean spacious room, friendly staff though breakfast was confusing on our first morning! We were just offered toast and cereal whereas second day was full buffet breakfast? Nice views over river and great location for the night market (shops open up late! Not a... More

Spacious rooms, clean bathroom (unlike other hotels we stayed in in China) and quite a reasonable selection at the breakfast buffet. Fantastic views from the room over the Li river and the limestone karsts in the distance. Great location right on the river and beside the main shopping and restaurant area. The management seems a bit obsessed with the threat... More

We were booked at this hotel by the travel agency who helped us plan our 2-week tour of China. After reading all the mediocre reviews on this site, my expectations were not high but it was surprisingly ok. Pros: Speedy check-in, clean and spacious rooms and bathrooms, extra pillows and two complimentary bottles of water in the room. Cons: Very... More

We had a printed confirmed booking for 2 nights when we fronted up at the front desk of this terrible hotel. Our booking clearly said that it was for 3 people (couple and son) and so we were expecting 2 beds. What we were offered was a room with 1 Queen-size bed. We tried to tell the staff that we... More

This has to be The worst hotel I have experienced in a while. The reception staff are exceptionally rude and unfriendly. The only answer you get from them is 'NO'. The lobby has a bad smell, and it's worse in the rooms. The carpets are filthy. Worst of all the Airconditioning does not work in the rooms, we changed two... More

I stayed at this hotel in May. I was in a group. The weather was poor so it was very convenient to eating places that I could walk to without getting too wet. A "tired" hotel but OK. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ordinary but satisfactory. It certainly deserves no more than 3 stars.

I stayed a this hotel for 3 nights whilst on tour. Great location as right on the Li River. Took a while to get bearings so was perfect to find our way back next to the river. All along the river you can see the locals doing their Tai Chi. Good breakfast and nice large clean rooms. Plenty of eating... More

Not a bad hotel. Was part of a tour, so I didn't have the choice of hotel. However, the rooms were generally clean, the breakfast was good, the bathrooms well equipped. Best of all, it was a leisurely stroll from the main attractions of the compact city, and not too difficult to find the hotel again if you get lost!... More
