This has to be The worst hotel I have experienced in a while. The reception staff are exceptionally rude and unfriendly. The only answer you get from them is 'NO'. The lobby has a bad smell, and it's worse in the rooms. The carpets are filthy. Worst of all the Airconditioning does not work in the rooms, we changed two... More

I stayed at this hotel in May. I was in a group. The weather was poor so it was very convenient to eating places that I could walk to without getting too wet. A "tired" hotel but OK. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ordinary but satisfactory. It certainly deserves no more than 3 stars.

I stayed a this hotel for 3 nights whilst on tour. Great location as right on the Li River. Took a while to get bearings so was perfect to find our way back next to the river. All along the river you can see the locals doing their Tai Chi. Good breakfast and nice large clean rooms. Plenty of eating... More

Not a bad hotel. Was part of a tour, so I didn't have the choice of hotel. However, the rooms were generally clean, the breakfast was good, the bathrooms well equipped. Best of all, it was a leisurely stroll from the main attractions of the compact city, and not too difficult to find the hotel again if you get lost!... More

This hotel is a mere 10-minute walk to Central Square and a stone’s throw from various dining options, drugstores, minimarkets, street markets - just about anything you’d need. Since we love street food and relished Guilin’s spicy lamb kebabs, stir-fry and noodles, we found this the location most convenient. Having read other user reviews, we also knew to request for... We had a large comfortable river view room on the corner of the hotel. This meant that we were also overlooking a bust road junction, but we were barely aware of the traffic noise unless we chose to open the window. To be honest, we found it amusing to watch the chaos at rush hour as there are no traffic... More

This was one of the few places during 3 weeks in China that the bed was softer than a slab of wood. Plus it had a nice shower with plenty of hot water! That's about all it took for us to be happy with a hotel in China! There was some staining on the carpet in the room. The wi-fi... More

It looks, feels and smells like the best days of this hotel are way behind it. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't stink, but over the years it gets that specific smell especially since it is mostly smoking hotel. All rooms are "standard" which means that you have to upgrade your room if you'd like double bed instead of twin,... More

Ask for the river view anything else and you are looking into someone else's room, but the river view rooms are very nosy with the traffic it seems 24 hours a day. The rooms are ok big and roomy and clean, the beds are ok nothing to write home about, tired enough you'll sleep. The wifi is ridiculous as you... More

This hotel is located on the banks of the Li River. It seems to have two basic views ... either your room has a view of the River, which is fascinating - the traffic going by is a constant source of interest. There's the "other" side also, which looks at neighbouring buildings - so ask for a river view if... More
