i stayed in this hotel last year (June 14) and have found it to be average at best. One major problem is the lack of english speaking staff especially at reception. Breakfast was divided into 2 seperate restaurants eastern and western, i tried both dont bother with eastern. Rooms were quiet spacious back but old The pool was a terrible... More

A good hotel with a great location around river where we walked at night around the 2 river and 4 lake cruise path. Staff speak good english. Breakfast buffet had a great chinese food variety but less western food options. Rooms are clean and over look a river and had stunning fireworks as it was CNY. Halal food right down... More

Guilin Bravo Hotel is a good location to explore Guilin, with the beautiful lake nearby. The hotel room was comfortable and clean, with general hotel facilities and amenities being good too. Staff were enthusiastic and helpful. It all made for an enjoyable stay in Guilin.

This is a huge hotel, which fills up largely with big tour groups. But its not an unpleasant place. The rooms are comfortable and the service is fine. They have two large dining rooms, one with western and one with chinese food. The chinese one has a good breakfast buffet. Location is right on the river and quite conventient.

Stayed in this big, nice, clean hotel for 2 Nights. Staff speaks English which was first surprise, rooms are clean and have heating, good amenities, ok gym and Chinese breakfast buffet w/ Black coffee!! Highly recommend! Great value for money and good location by the lake!

As others before have said, the hotel is in a good location, rooms are clean and comfortable and service is OK. Breakfast is limited to say the least - western style breakfast is almost non-existent (cold fried eggs and toast), fruit (what fruit?), and the chinese offerings were poor quality and cold. If you like sweet cake to start your... More

Our experience of this hotel is that it offers the basic comforts. Our room was the standard 1960s Holiday Inn rectangle - bed, easy chair and table, desk and chair, very adequate storage and a clean fully functioning bathroom. The hotel is divided into two sections with differing access lifts so finding your way back to your room can be... More

Hotel was fine, great location right on the lake. Lovely views from the window (if you have a lake view room - which we were upgraded to as it was off season). You can walk out the hotel right to the lake and walk round it or to the city - so the location is definitely a positive. What let... More

A large hotel right on the lake. First comfortable bed we had in China. Western Breakfast was limited until we were offered extra from the staff and then all was ok. Eggs, bacon and butter is not readily available but once you talk to the staff they are happy to accommodate westerners requirements. We got complimentary evening meal on our... More

It's nothing to write home about, but Guilin Bravo Hotel is a safe option best suited for families travelling on a budget. The rooms are clean but dated. Skip the Western restaurant and room service (not good), but the Chinese breakfast option often included with the room is good enough. English speaking staff are in short supply - they speak...
