Hotel was fine, great location right on the lake. Lovely views from the window (if you have a lake view room - which we were upgraded to as it was off season). You can walk out the hotel right to the lake and walk round it or to the city - so the location is definitely a positive. What let... More

A large hotel right on the lake. First comfortable bed we had in China. Western Breakfast was limited until we were offered extra from the staff and then all was ok. Eggs, bacon and butter is not readily available but once you talk to the staff they are happy to accommodate westerners requirements. We got complimentary evening meal on our... More

It's nothing to write home about, but Guilin Bravo Hotel is a safe option best suited for families travelling on a budget. The rooms are clean but dated. Skip the Western restaurant and room service (not good), but the Chinese breakfast option often included with the room is good enough. English speaking staff are in short supply - they speak... We had an okay stay at the Guilin Bravo Hotel. Rooms: If you do end up staying here, and your door is the kind with a slot, push your weight on the door when you turn the knob. It took us a while to figure that out. There is a television and a mini bar, as well as a kettle,... More

We were on a 17 day China tour and had just gotten off the River cruise and stayed at this Hotel. I was very sick by the time we got to this Hotel but it was very nice clean and comfortable. Wished I could have enjoyed the resturants and shopping as well as the little lake across the Street from... More

In one word, the room is opulent. The bed is super comfy and your feet sink deep into the carpet. There is also a very large bathroom right smack in the middle of the room. There was a puddle next to my bed which made the room smell (thick carpeting and all). I didn't ask for a change of room... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights at the end of our 12-day, 'China Essentials' tour. The staff were very helpful and breakfasts fine. Our room on the 17th floor was very clean and comfortable and had terrific views of the lake (just across the street) and of some of the surrounding, iconic limestone peaks. The hotel is an... More

Hotel booked by tour company and it's location was very good. It's easy to explore the lake area and town. We had a nice room and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. This was the first hotel that we had stayed at in China where there were other European guests.

Service was great, my ph got stolen at the market. The reception staff helped me communicate with the local police and they even offered to come to the police station. The Breakfast had a lot of choices. The hotel has no smoking signs through out however people continued to smoke onsite. My shower was ok, there was no pressure in... More

This hotel was quite nice, especially after coming from a hostel in Beijing. I found the bed to be quite comfortable and I slept extremely well both nights I stayed. Some reviews mention an odor in the room but I did not notice any weird smells. The room was very big and had a beautiful view of the lake and... More
