By China standards our room was clean. As in most Chinese hotels, the carpet could have been cleaner. The beds were comfortable and linens clean. Our room has a great view of the Li River and the hotel is with-in walking distance to West Street. We walked across the bridge to the Seven Star Scenic Area and took a tour... More

I went back and read reviews wondering how I could have booked this hotel when I am so careful to read reviews on Tripadvisor. I wonder if some of the rooms haven't been updated? We are a family of 5 with 3 teens. We had two rooms: 8401 and 8402 facing the river. They were both incredibly disgusting. The carpet... More

Booked to stay for one night - arriving in the evening and flying out early the next morning. Check-in process took 30 minutes while they collected cash deposits for the room key and taxi booking for the airport the next morning. The carpet and Christmas-like decorations in the lift were festive (to say it positively) but did lift our spirits... More

despite the cliche "you get what you pay for" and the fact that(thank God) we stayed only one night at this territory but even the good price of this MOTEL did not erase the fact that it was filthy to an unbearable level add to the no english to communicate and you get the worst stay you ever pay money... This hotel is opposite the Li River and if you take a room on the 4th floor facing the river you will have glimpses of the river and Karst Mountains. The balcony is a perfect place to enjoy the quiet and the views. The famous West Street is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. West Street is cobblestoned,... More

We choose this hotel based on the location and the price. Most reviews weren't bad. The hotel was in a fantastic location - right on the river and only a few doors down from the much higher priced Sheraton. We arrived late and were greeted by a friendly front desk person who spoke fairly good English. The check in process... More

Good location - rear facing rooms a little lower cost than river facing; helpful staff but limited language (English). Convenient for walk along river, walking street, etc. carpets need replacing on lift, etc.

We stayed here in October 2011. Just a few words about the hotel: rooms are clean, air-conditioned, with usual Chinese bath (I mean, with glassed wall inside the room) and also some sexy items in the minibar. No one speak English (although they should, but they can't even understand if I'm asking for some more toilet paper....) but they are... More

The hotel has a great location. The room and bathroom where a bit smelly. The cafe downstairs is wonderful - good, friendly staff and great food. Great for a night.

-Good location – close to the city centre, river, park, shops and restaurants -The corridor, lift and the room were dirty. The worst thing about the hotel was the cigarette smell which we could feel everywhere. Ashtrays are located all around so people are encouraged to smoke everywhere. We stayed in the no smoking room and we could feel the... More
