My wife and I spent a night here before we did the Li River to Yangshuo.. Incredible hotel.. sleep.. food.. We paid the 63 USD for the club level.. That included breakfast.. Fresh fruit.. Lunch and you can almost make a dinner... Service is awesome.. and the best "over easy eggs" in China!! River view.. all drinks... WELL WORTH IT!!!

Just stay one night. Buffet breakfast and dinner are not bad. The location is not very good. You will need to have a cab to downtown. Not very convenient. Swimming pool is fine, a little bit crowded. The river views from our room is pretty good. Staff are helpful.

This is an older property but nice. Beautiful foyer to have cocktails with nice view of park and river. BreakFast buffet was ok, not as good as the other hotels we stayed in China. Olympic sized pool to swim in. Small workout room

I recently stayed one night at the Shangri-la with my two daughters, ages 6 and 11. The lobby is beautiful, check-in staff speaks good English, and our view of the river and mountains was nice (albeit tainted with some unattractive buildings in the foreground.) Room/bed was comfortable. My disappointment comes from: 1) the lack of universal power outlets in the... More

We stayed for six nights in a Club Horizon River Room. These rooms have beautiful views of the river and the characteristic karst mountains. Horizon rooms give access to the Horizon Club Lounge for breakfast, all day coffee, tea and soft drinks and evening cocktails with a buffet of small canapés and snacks. Especially when the hotel has a large... More

Being the only known and trustworthy international brand that is relatively new in Guilin (built in 2010), it didn't take me too long to book the Shangri-La Guilin. The other choice would be the Sheraton, more central but a lot older. All other hotels seem to be local brands which might be nice but such is still up for exploration.... More

Only stayed one night - but would loved to have stayed another night - we used the pool and with the heat was a real bonus - we used the free transfer service to Guilin town - this was excellent they dropped us off at 7.00 and picked us up at 9.45 and this was complimentary - we were the... More

It was nice to spend our only night in this Hotel in Guilin: old style, comfortable, with a great breakfast. Do not have time to enjoy its public spaces, pool etc.. but the room was complete with good amenities. The staff was super helpful and the experience was favourable.

Just stayed one night with my family. Beautiful lobby and great setting. We had 3 rooms on the 4th floor overlooking the river and outdoor pool. The rooms were pleasant enough but looked a little tired and scruffy; surprising for what seems to be a relatively new hotel. Avoid the dinner buffet at all costs. Hugely overpriced for what was... Situated out of the main city area but overlooking the river and within walking distance of a market along the river, this is a very beautiful hotel with large rooms. Every morning two figures in the garden can be seen dressed in white doing Tai-Chi, a very restful sight. The International Buffet Restaurant has an amazing display of food.
