This hotel is well located for access to the main walking area for restaurants etc in the evening. It gives the impression of being full of old anitques and as a result is very interesting for people who have not spent a lot of time in China. However, for a couple of nights it is a very good value. The... More

Yukky, unless you want to stay in a museum! Just mentioning it gives me the creeps! Most things look and smell OLD!!! The corridors are dim, and there were construction works going on. Not my kind of hotel.

Travelled to guilin on July 2011 with family. Nightmare started the moment we stepped in this hotel. This hotel definitely deserved the title as the worst hotel in the world. Hotel service is terrible! Hotel management (NOT their ground staffs) don't know what's customer service. We have some payment argument with them so we asked to talk to their higher... More

We stayed in this hotel with our tour group. Whilst we could see that the hotel is relatively new, but the interior of the hotel made us wondering what would the designer/owner thinking?? First, the lobby was huge and filled with antique furnitures, paintings, windows panes, even a replica of emperor's throne. It's okay, but just too many things stuffed... More

A very nice hotel with a built in museum . Rooms are very oriental in design and very spacious. Facilities in room includes aircond, fridge, small safe, LCD tv, and hair dryer. There is no kettle to boil your own water. However, a flask of hot water is provided. Room lights are too dim. Situated nearby the hotel is an... More

Why do I say it is strange? Firstly, imagine staying in a museum! No kidding, it is a small museum. You may not know this is a hotel if you walk in to the main door as reception is one floor above. Room is very big and spacious. Amenities in the room are intact i.e. hair dryer, safe, bath robes,... More
