Just a short walk from Fancun Metro station, and right by the river - this is exactly why we chose this hostel. After staying in Bejing and Xi'an for 10 nights, we were looking for a peaceful place to stay. This ticked the box. 5 stops on the metro, easy to find, very close to two streets with wonderful restaurants,... More

To start.. room is not what you expected. Dirty bathroom. It has nice view(with dirty river). big window doesn't close tight. i was at Xi'an/Hangzhou/Shanghai for comparison. it was worst. you can't get wifi on 2nd floor. you will see lots of people stay in lobby just for WIFI. restaurant around there is kinda hostile for foreigner.(rip off) so try... I stayed a 3 nights at this hostel, it was very good. the staff was very friendly and the rooms very clean. they sold very nice western breakfast and very cheap beer. The location is very good, on a big street with a lot of bars, Amigos is to recommend. close to Metro, shopping and old guangzhou. I can recommend... More

Unless you have your own set of wheels or are willing to spend an inordinate amount of time traveling, avoid staying here. The hostel, which is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, is a good 15 minutes walk from the nearest subway stop, which is another 40 minutes away from the Zhujiang New Town area. Taxis are also hard to... More

This hostel is about 500 metres from Fancun Metro. Across the road from River and Ferry stop. Ferry to Electronics market area is RMB2 about USD 20cents. Riverside is 200 metres from a great BBQ street where you can eat for about RMB 20 USD3 including seafood. I stay here when in Guangzhou the friendly staff are always helpful. Beers... More

A basic hostel in a good location. For the price my single room had a hard bed - normal in China and one of the smallest bathrooms I've used. You could buy an adequate breakfast or wander around the corner and eat local. A five minute walk from the subway made it accessible to all of the city and across... More

Riverside hostel is a nice surprise - great rooms, nice bar, some good food, and a pool table, which is always nice, but it's in an odd location. You're across the river from the old part of town - it's not that big a deal (or that expensive, for that matter) to get back and forth, but it's important to... More

I was in Jiangpan Riverside YHA last year, alone. This year I came back with a group of 11 people, in 6 rooms. We had a couple of twin rooms with a view on the river. The other rooms were at the back of the building. Everybody in my group was very satisfied with the accommodation. It still has the... More

I was in this hostel for 3 nights. The employees are pretty relaxed and speak English. Beside doing the administration work for checking in and out, there is no interaction between you and the staff. Also they do not provide any tours which you can take, but maybe this is because a lot you can just do by yourself. Foshan... More

I stayed here for 4 nights after arriving in China. I had a single ensuite room. It was compact, spotlessly clean and had a terrific, powerful shower. It was also cleaned every day and my towel was changed. Staff are friendly. Some speak English, some don't. I really don't have an issue with this as most of the guests are... More
