It didn't look great from the outside but it was not a matter to me since i'd chose it merely due to its ideal location - right on Beijing Lu. However the rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, less road noise at the higher floor. The TV was old and not that great but it was fine. The food was edible... More

Nothing to complain about the hotel. Room and bathroom are in good condition and clean. We walked to Beijing Lu to shop at night. It was raining in May 2014 when we stayed but not heavy. Breakfast was ok. Got a room for 3 with 1 extra bed. I didn't use wifi so I'm not sure if there was any.... More

Great location. Across the street from Beijing Lu (shopping promenade) with Pizza Hut (best tasting), KFC, Starbucks, Dairy Queen, bank ATMs, lots of shops, street vendors, bargains, restaurants where they close around 9-11pm. Right beside Lido is McDonalds. A couple blocks to Metro station. Building new shopping mall across street. Hotel: 30th floor buffet diner with Western foods (omelettes!), 12th... More

Stayed here on 12th oct, took the mtr from Hong Kong and took the metro to Beijing lu station, hotel location is perfect as it's directly across from Beijing lu shopping street (shopping is the best we could find) for anyone looking for a quick bite there is a McDonald's next door to the hotel or for a meal we... But I didn’t have a high expectation in the first place. Our group of business visitors was given two rooms on different floors and we did not realize until the second day of the stay that (as of July 2014) only rooms on 14th and 21st Floors were refreshed. The room you see in my photographs is on the 21st... More

we stayed here last week, August 13- 15, we got the business room, check in was really fast, and the receptionist knows how to speak english, but we needed to bring our own luggages to the room, not that secured though cause some floors are commercial. It was raining hard when we arrived and I was expecting someone from the... More

we stayed at this hotel during the canton fair and the price was crazy just slightly different to international 5 stars hotel. if you really dying for staying at the famous beijing road, then Lido is juz around the corner. but bear with the tired room and poor service. will never return again!

Lido hotel - Location (5/5) - it is bang at the start of the beijing Lu Pedestrian street and hence fantastic for people looking for shopping deals. If you are looking for calm and a non shopping area then you would rather head off to one of hotels on Shamian Island. Accessibility to metro is good since it is right... More

Stayed here 3 times in 3 years, and the carpet in the rooms are getting darker. The showers have clear glass walls facing the beds, the design is meant for natural light to get inside the shower, but can be awkward if your fellow roommate is neither your wife nor girlfriend. Food was edible if not terrible. Very basic fares.... More

Istayed in this hotel 5 times. The reception now has staff who can speak English. A relief for those non-Chinese speaking. I must highlight the concierge service staff. On checking out at 6pm on 5th July, he really went out of the way to help us. The airport transfer company refused to drive towards the hotel front porch at first.... More
