Stayed there for 2nts during my business trip, rate was low, but its the first time I had such a poor room in China. Reception is very slow, although they have 5-6 staff all the time.. Coffee bar at the lobby serves the worst coffee and its very expensive.

Went on a business trip which also included attending the canton fair. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, no complains about that. Room was slightly small, but still comfortable. Only issue I could point out is that there isn't enough seating to meet and greet clients or suppliers. Apart from that it's worth every buck.

We stayed for 2 nights in July 2014 . We were impressed by the cleanliness of the room, the bathroom was bright and clean. The room has a nice view of the Pearl River. The cleanliness and professional service attitude of the staff was in mark contrast to those hotels in the Beijing Rd area, which I stayed before. On check-in... More

Been staying since the 80s and the only reason I come back is its location as this seems to be the lesser of two evils between them and the next hotel. Front desk is usually an 'organised mess' and the bellhops would be staring blankly at you if your don't signal for help.

Stayed one night on business. An airy and welcoming lobby with friendly uniformed staff and a smooth check in. The room was a little disappointing - it seemed there were no rooms with king beds left) so accepted a twin room - in which there was not much space once both beds and a large armchair had been crammed in.... Stayed from Nov 1-4 with River view high level room. Nice river view but the room was not very clean, there were LOTS of cockroaches running around. I noticed that they were crawling out from the floor cracks in the closet, so gross! Even though I requested a non-smoking room & level, i can still smell the cigarette smell coming... More

The hotel is quite big and offers international standard. The breakfast is served on the top floor with a very good variety of European and Chinese breakfast food and a fantastic view on the city and river. The location is also very good. In walking distance is the metro, the river and the pedestrian area with plenty of shops and... More

Stayed in this hotel a few times over the past 2 years. Booked the same room type which is the executive suite and have different experiences. The first time was a huge room but that is obviously very dated. The most recent stay I was given a renovated suite on the 19th floor. Both rooms had fantastic view of the... More

After a long 13 hour's of plane journey with a crammed China Southern flight, we weren't able to restaurant our tired bodies on stone hard beds in this strategically located hotel. What a shame! I would have love to return here, but the hard mattresses will put me off. The staff is helpful, especially the bell hop crew! Reception desk... More
