Stayed on the 26th floor and the room was actually very decent - refurbished to a good standard and very clean in terms of some hotels I have stayed in China. As the Canton Fair is currently on, hotel prices have been hiked up, this around 3 times the normal cost. I also wanted to stay near the East Railway... More

I would never recommed this hotel for tourist or visiting Guangzhou. The price is fair enough, but probaly, if there is no Trade Fair event in the city, you can find hundreds of better options. The location is not bad, but the nearest metro station is too far away for walking... worst if you are carrying luggage. As the hotel... More

Nice hotel but not that easy to find.Went thru two small alleys and some one way street.closest subway station is about ten to fifteen minutes walk.two elevators for the whole complex. On a busy day,it takes a long time.Air conditioned room feel warm, breakfast buffet is so so.

I am amazed at times reading some reviews some people put on this site. Please remember when visiting China that it is China and not main street New York. I have stayed in J Hotel many times and my latest stay was for three weeks last month. This hotel is clean with friendly staff. Ideal for Canton Fare as they... More

I don't even know where to start with my experience. firstly the local taxi drivers cannot find this hotel despite me giving address in Chinese. i was dumped at the back of the hotel and had to walk around eventually. the room had been redecorated in a cheap manner so the internet pics are very deceiving. as soon as i... It started with me sending the hotel an email, asking what bus stop i should get off, if i will be coming from hongkong airport. I never got a reply. I eventually found which stop. Anyway, i got off at Jinan University, i tried to get a cab to bring me to the hotel. At least 5 taxis told me... More

I stayed here for just one night and I feel very good. I checked in at 3 P.M,because the hotel is not that easy to find.(U can take Metro Line 1 to Guangzhou DONG Station, and get a taxi to that hotel for 10 RMB) The hotel got me upgrade to executive room,in 26th floor. The view of the city is delightful.... I have stayed at this hotel several times while attending the Canton Fair .It is very clean and modern. Food is very poor .Not central to shopping but taxis are very cheap to get anywhere you wish to go. The only problem staying here is they have very few staff that can understand any English Because of this it is... More

Good Hotel with Decent Rooms. Location is fine. Service is good. Keeping china in mind, Breakfast is manageable for Indians. Language is a problem but the hotel receptionist do understand little bit of english to communicate. For the amount I paid, I feel its a superb deal!!!

Really is walking distance to the subway and the train station--turn left outside the door and point to a subway map as you go along. The locals will direct you if they know what you want. Too close to the train station to get a taxi; go there and take the taxi back. Breakfast buffet is varied and interesting--Chinese and... More
