Stayed at the hotel for five days. Affordable price, room was very basic but spacious, not well maintained (shower leaking into bedroom, tiles missing etc) but fine for what we needed (out all day anyway). WiFi very slow. Good central location, great views over Guangzhou if you have a room facing the river. Seems many buyers are staying there (like... More

We preferred a room in the higher floor as we heard these were better than those in the lower floors of the hotel. It has an affordable price that fitted our budget. Bathroom was clean.. With regards to it's location, it's near the shopping area that made it a convenient place to stay in . Taxis were always available when... More

The location is very nice with Beijing Lu Metro station around the corner, Onelink shopping centre in 10 minutes walk and shopping area surrounding it. The room is quite nice with microwave oven, fridge (big) and wifi router(if you know how to configure it yourself). Room service is not so good. They didn't change the bedsheets and pillow case even... More

The location are very strategic. near the metro ride (Beijing Lu Station). 10 minute walks to Onelink, 5 minute walks to Beijing Lu. rooms are spacious, hard bed but common in China , not so nice receptionist but can speak English. this hotel also allowed to store baggage at lobby area. Definitely will stay here again

As a non-chinese speaking guest, i asked the receptionist to help me write an address in chinese so i could give it to the taxi driver. She give me the most unconvenient face. When i ask again, she just refuses to talk to me. There is no other customers in the counter at that moment, she is not busy. I... More

It's location is absolutely great for anyone visiting. It is badly neglected. The reception area is a really an eye-sore - I felt like taking my bags and walking out. The lifts are dirty and passage to the rooms are worn out - it's dark and not very pleasant. I stayed in the self catering appartment - there was a... More

I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. The standard of cleanliness was really low, the room had furniture with stains and very noticeable damage, the kitchenette was unusable, the TV did not work and the hallways and elevators were really gross. The only plus side of staying there was that we were close to shopping, restaurants, transit and the river.

The Grand Continental take BAD to a whole new level. I would not recommend this hotel to the cockroaches and spiders, even though they had obviously checked into my room before me. The room was falling apart with exposed wiring, missing features, highly suspect water systems, extremely old (and used?) linen and towels, broken and stained furniture and a level... More

All the room rate increase due to the Canton fair, no wifi in the room, only in lobby, limited dirty old sofa, but may use the cafe in lobby with minimum purchase RMB 10, room needs upgrade, shower is week and toilet is block. Good location, 10 mins walk to MRT, 5 mins to Beijing Road Pedestrian Shopping Center. Taxi from... More

i would NOT recommend this hotel to my friends. Although it is cheap but this is not worth staying, you will rather top up slightly extra and go to Hotel Guang zhou or Hotel Canton Landmark.. Trust me.. here are the reason why. 1) The front desk officer named ' Yi' ( chinese ) is very rude, when we asked... More
