The Westin Guangzhou is nice upscale hotel in central Gaungzhou near the train station, many restaurants and night life. My room was huge, the view was dramatic, and the service was also very good. On subject of food, we made the tactical error of eating in the hotel's Italian restaurant. It was at best average and cost over $200 US... More

This would rate as one of the best Westin Hotels i have stayed in. The rooms were large and extremely comfortable (especially sweet sleeper bed). The restaurant food and service was very good. The lobby staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The Concierge booked and organised our train tickets to Hong Kong in advance (before we arrived)... More

As a Westin Hotel I found the quality of the rooms to be reasonable though showing signs of being tired. Dinning in the hotel seemed very expensive as did the drink price. It would give Singapore a run for its money. Surprisingly english is not well understood by the majority of the staff which at times is frustrating. I believe... More

We were booked into the Westin by a Chinese friend. We had travelled from Hung Hom railway station in Kowloon to Guangzhou and the hotel was a very short taxi ride. This is a very modern area - one could be in any modern North American city. The Westin reminded me very much of the Marriott in Quito Ecuador. We... More

Travelled to the Westin for business this week (Mar 20, 2015) - the Westin is, as you'd expect, a sensational hotel. A beautiful property with all the facilities and excellent service. Just a couple of things I didn't like - firstly, the hotel doesn't automatically provide wifi - that's an extra. So is breakfast. And the wifi, once you get... More

The Westin Guangzhou is an iconic building in the Guangzhou skyline, it is easily recognizable and provides an interesting study in form and structure with its architectural design. I get picked up by the limo after a long ride from the Baiyun airport-probably my only complaint is the priciness of the ride-about $100USD each way, compared to $100 ROUNDTRIP for... More

Stayed here for one night during business travel. Impeccable service standards as expected from a Westin hotel. Hotel rooms were also pretty well-maintained for its age. Room cleanliness could be improved though; the room carpet wasn't vacuumed for quite some time. The widely advertised gym turned out to be a disappointment. Too many guests and too little running machines.

The Westin Guangzhou is within walking distance of East Station (where trains from Kowloon and Shenzhen arrive). .Walk south through the park and look left. If you can't walk (heavy suitcase, etc.) you could take a cab, but there is a huge taxi line at the station. If you don't look Chinese, unlicensed cab drivers will approach you at the... More

This hotel is everything you'd expect from a Westin plus more. The bar served a fantastic glass of red and the ambiance was lovely. The rooms were large and spacious with all the amenities that one would expect. My room had a great view of the city although I'm not sure if that would be the case with every room.... More

Qbar used to be the place i goto whenever I yearn for a good beef burger and the pumpkin soup. Was v disappointed when I went yest with the change of menu. There wasn't anymore wagyu beef burger and pumpkin soup! Ordered chix wings samosa tomato soup and their beef burger. Everything was bad. Tomato soup was absolutely tasteless, samosa... More
