I'm sorry to say but this Hotel does not live up to the Meridian name. Spent one night on a business trip and was disappointed. The hotel is very grand and labeled as a five star however, Internet is not free?! Room however was a good size but again my gripe was that there was only one English language channel... More

Thankfully I was only staying for a single night, but this was the most disappointing 5 star experience I had in Saudi Arabia. Reception staff seemed poorly trained so that it took over half and hour to check in 4 people. The Iftar dinner during Ramadan was of very poor quality and most of the hot food was cold. Service... I am a proud SPG member and this hotel is a disgrace to their name. Location: its about 5 Km to the holly mosque and not too far from the airport. For people who are there for business it could be an "ok" choice to crash for a night and work during the day. Staff: the staff is friendly, room... More

As said often, if you are not Muslim, this is your only choice in Madinah. Having stayed two nights in the hotel (in different rooms), overall I was satisfied with the hotel for the price. The rooms were fairly clean and of a good standard and the hotel's common areas were clean and spacious/cheerful. Some items to improve: Firstly, the... More

If you are non Muslim travelling to medina your choice is limited to le Meridien. The hotel is tired, and lacks any kind of atmosphere. The food choice is limited to one restaurant, and buffet. Had room service which was pretty good. Staff were friendly enough, but overall could not wait to leave

This really is a poor hotel that does not deserve to be in the Starwood brand. The hygiene in the bathroom is terrible especially with the mould on the mastic seal. It must be the worst breakfast in the Middle East with guests having to serve themselves coffee! The staff are slow and if you ask them to help they... More

Stayed here for an overnight as I was transferring to Yanbu from Dammam. The hotel is kind of out dated, room design is old and breakfast variety is ok with less on the healthy options. staff were friendly and helpful.

In the lovely city of medina there is no shortage of good hotels if you are Muslim and going there for pilgrimage. However if you are traveling on business with non Muslims then this hotel is ideal. Great team, service and staff. Some rooms have no windows though.

My colleagues and I were on an extended visit for work staying at Le Meridien. The building and grounds are pretty, the rooms are clean and well furnished, and the food is adequate. What we found most rewarding was the hotel staff. They are a mix of Saudis and expats who are friendly, curious, cooperative, and hardworking. We got to... More

Medina reportedly has some great hotels (Hiltons, Sheratons, etc.), but I'll never know, unless I convert. All those hotels are inside the Haram (forbidden) area. In fact, almost everything to see in Medina is inside the Haram, like Mecca. Large imposing signs line the perimeter telling non-Muslims to stay out. We were in Medina as our jumping-off point to Medain... More
