It seems this hotel has received mixed reviews and I can understand why, having stayed there for 3 nights. Certain parts of it are very good but it is let down by antiquated rooms, lobby area requiring a massive refit and elevators reminiscent of something from the 80's. I actually thought I went back in time when I checked in... More

We stayed at Dar al Iman intercontinental from the 3rd of August to the 6th. This was our first experience staying here. The hotel is probably the closest within the area to the prophet's mosque, especially so to the females' entrance. Checking in was a breeze; we got our rooms within minutes of our arrival. Although the rooms are spacious,... More

The worst 5 star hotel I have ever experienced. Every thing in the suite is not clean and old from walls, furniture. Curtains, accessories, carpet and lamps. Even bathroom taps are broken and rusty, mould everywhere in the shower screen. The room is smelly.

I’ve travelled to many hotels and this is by far the worst 5 stars I’ve been to. After coming from a wonderful stay from a 6 nights in Raffles in Makkah, we had a prepaid booking for a 4nights in Dar al Iman. First the check in was EXTREMELY SLOW for no apprent reason, it was a prepaid suite and... More

The location of this hotel is Excellent! The room we booked was facing the prophets mosque, it is a stunning sight, I cannot put this into words. You will literally have to go there to witness the beauty and the peace in this city. Come down from the hotel and the Mosque is just across the road. The food in... More

I stayed full board at Dar Al Iman Intercontinental Medina for 7 days and I would say that being located right facing the Nabawi mosque is its only strong point. Yes, it's an intercontinental but it's also old and needs some upgrade. The cleanliness is OK but I couldn't help but notice that the cleaning staff didn't vacuum the carpet... More

Hotel is very clean and rooms are good. The Bengali staff who work here are vey friendly and poorly paid. I also observed them being treated poorly by their arab bosses. The arab staff are arrogant at times and need to learn how to provide good customer service.

The hotel is conveniently located close to Medina Mosque, about 5 mins casual walk. The service was friendly, the rooms were clean and functional. But they could do with a upgrade at some point. Breakfast was the usual high quality spread to be expected from intercontinental hotels. The shopping and restaurants are a stone throw from the hotel. Will stay... More
